President Dunbar’s theme for the 2008 - 2009 year was “The Key to Our Success as a Winning Team is YOU!.” Membership on July 1, 2008, was 2,122 and 1,954 on June 30, 2009, representing a 7.9% net decrease in membership.
Texas-Louisiana Division Inc. began the fiscal year with 39 chapters. The Tejas Topaz Chapter chartered on October 11 with 22 charter members. The Division ended the year with 38 chapters; with two Chapters disbanding - Comanche Peak Chapter and Shaw Corporate Chapter.
The 2008 International Convention and Education Forum was held in July 2008 in New Orleans, Louisiana, with President Dunbar attending as Delegate and President-Elect Shotwell attending as Alternate. All five of the T-L Division Board members attended the meeting.
The Division donated $200 to the Retirement Trust Foundation.
The 57th Annual Meeting and Education Forum was held May 15-17, 2009, at Shreveport Hilton Hotel and Shreveport Convention Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, with the theme “Command Your Career, Catch the Waves of the Future.” Total registration was 208 members, representing twenty-nine chapters, three members at large, and 45 first-time attendees. Southwest District Director Antoinette (Toni) Smith CPS/CAP attended the Annual Meeting and provided the State of the District Address during the business session as well as assisted in the officer installation.
Frances Jackson CPS/CAP, Clear Lake/NASA Area Chapter, was recognized as the 2009 Division Member of the Year during the Recognition Luncheon.
To encourage chapter newsletters, the Division board again approved a “Newsletter Award” contest. Twenty chapters entered with the division members voting the Clear Lake/NASA Area Chapter’s newsletter as the 2009 winner.
All division members had the opportunity to be involved in the “Sharing IAAP $150 BINGO.” The members achieving BINGO on their card during the period of July 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009, were entered into a drawing for a $150 check. There were 41 Bingo Cards submitted. Dianne Darlin CPS/CAP, West Houston Chapter, was the winner.
The Board made the decision to award scholarships to four T-L Division IAAP active members, member’s immediate family, children, or grandchildren. The following individuals received a $500 scholarship: Susan Bryan, majoring in Health Information Technology at Tarrant County College- Northeast Campus; Maria Deibert, majoring in Paralegal Studies at San Antonio College; Robert Charles Rice, majoring in Chemical Engineering at Blinn College; and Casey Sean Mader, majoring in Geography, Archeology at University of North Texas.
Chapters with the greatest percentage of their membership in attendance at the 2008 Annual Meeting and Education Forum, based upon April 30, 2008, membership totals were recognized:
5-15 members – Tyler Chapter, Tyler, Texas, 22% attendance
16-35 members – Pelican Chapter, Shreveport, Louisiana, 70% attendance
36-55 members – Galveston County Chapter, Galveston, Texas, 24% attendance
56-85 members – Greenspoint Area Chapter, Houston, Texas, 19% attendance
85+ members – Clear Lake/NASA Area Chapter , Houston, Texas, 14% attendance
To encourage membership recruitment, the member recruiting the most new members between July 1, 2008 and April 30, 2009, would receive $100 as the "Engine Builder Award.” The winner of this award was Debra Pruitt CPS/CAP, City of Houston Chapter, who recruited twenty-five new members.
Monetary awards and the Chapter Pit Crew Certificate were given to the chapters who gained the greatest percentage net increase in membership from July 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009, in the following categories:
5-15 members – Tyler Chapter, Tyler, Texas, 13% net gain
16-35 members – ExxonMobil South Chapter, Houston, Texas, 39% net gain
36-55 members – North Dallas Chapter, Dallas, Texas, 17% net gain
56-85 members – LaPine Chapter, Alexandria, Louisiana, 20% net gain
85+ members – City of Houston Chapter , Houston, Texas, 23% net gain
The President’s Award was offered again this year involving an incentive extended to Chapter Presidents with a challenge to earn a President’s Award clock. The Chapter Presidents who met the designated criteria were:

Division Officers presented programs to 29 chapters, participated in three chapter's half-day seminars, installed the new officers of 17 chapters and held four Chapter Officer-Training Workshops in four cities: Houston, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Arlington, Texas. The benefits of membership was presented to three companies who requested information about IAAP.

President Shotwell’s theme for the 2009 - 2010 year was “The Power of Commitment”. Membership on July 1, 2009, was 1,954 and 1,860 on June 30, 2010, representing a 4.8% net decrease in membership.
Texas-Louisiana Division Inc. began the fiscal year with 38 chapters. The Aggieland Chapter chartered on March 4, 2010, with 41 charter members. The Division ended the year with 37 chapters; with two Chapters disbanding - Dallas Suburban chapter and Lake Country Chapter.
The 2009 International Convention and Education Forum was held in July 2009 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with President Shotwell attending as Delegate and President-Elect Spradley attending as Alternate. All five of the T-L Division Board members attended the meeting.

The 58th Annual Meeting and Education Forum was held May 14-16, 2010, at the Ambassador Hotel, Amarillo, Texas, with the theme “The Road to Remarkable Never Ends.” Total registration was 142 members, representing twenty-nine chapters, four members at large, and 28 first-time attendees. International President Elect, Mary Ramsay-Drow CPS/CAP attended the Annual Meeting and provided an International Address and RTF presentation during the business session as well as assisted in the officer installation.
Charlene Kesee, CPS/CAP, West Houston Chapter, was recognized as the 2010 Division Member of the Year during the Recognition Luncheon.
