Duties: Assists with the coordination of patient care activities and organisation of the general medical/Emergency Department areas and who delivers direct comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to patients within the units. Provide leadership and direction to other nursing staff and other health professionals. Contributes to maintaining the quality of care within the designated areas by assisting the Clinical Nurse Consultant/Nursing Unit Manager (Acute) to create an environment conducive to learning, by ensuring that a team approach is adopted, and by meeting the standards for nursing practice, professional dress and behaviour and standards relating to the manner in which staff interact with each other, their patients and their patients' families. As a member of the clinical leadership team, assist with activities relating to action research, quality improvement and staff and patient education as well as being involved in processes associated with staff development and appraisal.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: Registered as a General Nurse with the Nurses Board of South Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate.




Special Conditions: May be required to work at either the Berri or Barmera Campus of the Riverland Regional Health Service Incorporated, or any other health unit within the Region. May be required to relieve in the Clinical Nurse Consultant/Nursing Unit Manager (Acute) capacity when the Clinical Nurse Consultant/Nursing Unit Manager (Acute) is absent on leave. Initially rostered over seven days per week. A current driver’s license is essential. This position may be offered on either a full time or part time basis. Salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Duties: Responsible for the care of patients admitted to, or serviced by the Roxby Downs Health Service. Through education and experience has developed nursing skills and knowledge to assist them in fulfilling the role of a Clinical Nurse in the Roxby Downs Health Service. Use the process of nursing to deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted, to or serviced by, the Roxby Downs Health Service. Provide support and direction to Registered and Enrolled Nurses, as well as Student Nurses on Tertiary placement. There are two positions, both positions work across both health units providing strong clinical leadership, coordinating the continuing education, orientation/mentoring of new staff and actively contributing to the health units quality improvement process.
