Duties: The Health Support Officer, Complex Health uses procedures and specific plans to provide support and undertake health support tasks for students who have a complex level of physical impairment and invasive health care needs so that they can attend and participate fully as students. The Health Support Officer, Complex Health will be assigned to an individual student whose health is unstable, deteriorating or requires constant monitoring. The health support provided ranges from personal care to administering medication, to delegated complex and invasive health care tasks and includes responding to emergency situations.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: Current First Aid Certificate for centres & school (FACS) or equivalent.




Special Conditions: There are a number of permanent part time positions available located in the Central and Southern Team of the Access Assistant Program. These positions will be required to work school term time only, which may vary from year to year. This appointment will be subject to the following: a satisfactory offender history check; approved delegation and monitoring of care nominated by a health professional (eg a Registered Nurse); willingness and availability to participate in training, and team meetings scheduled mainly in school holidays, as required by the program; to relocate (as required) to meet service delivery and or organisational requirements particularly when the student is absent from the program; to work additional hours, either preceding or following normal shifts, or as additional days of work; participation in the organisation's performance management process.

Duties: The Youth Worker, as part of a multidisciplinary team will: Be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive range of youth health services to the Hawker health service areas. Provide ongoing support within the defined local community on an individual and group basis




Special Conditions: This is a part time position working 27.5 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. The position serves the respective communities and surrounding district of Hawker. A current 'car' drivers licence is essential and a willingness to travel substantial distances in the course of duties. Regular intrastate travel is required necessitating occasional overnight absences and out of hours travelling by motor vehicle and/or light plane. Some out of hours work may be required. The incumbent must be prepared to have a police check completed on them.
