Essential Minimum Qualifications: An Undergraduate degree in Adult or Vocational Education AND a Diploma in Management (Min AQF5) OR A Graduate Certificate in Management OR Undergraduate degrees in both Adult or Vocational Education AND Management OR Undergraduate Degree and formal Post Graduate qualifications in Adult or Vocational Education AND Management. In respect to an officer appointed prior to 8 September 1992, appropriate equivalent experience, as assessed by the Chief Executive Officer, may be accepted in lieu of the formal qualification in management. Appropriate equivalent experience means that the Officer has held a management position within an educational organization, industry or other government department for a continuous period of six (6) months or more, within the previous three (3) years. Process for determining qualification equivalence is outlined in Bulletin 901 dated 18 November 2004.




Special Conditions: Some out of hours work may be required. Some inter and intrastate travel may be required. Location at the Adelaide City Campus in the first instance, with the possibility of responsibility for the Workplace and Education program at other TAFE SA campuses in the future. A flexible approach to duty hours, days and the taking of leave is essential. This is a temporary position for up to 12 months in the first instance. Duties: The primary role of the lecturer is to provide instruction and guidance to students in order to facilitate satisfactory completion of the requirements of their course of study in accordance with Training Package or curriculum (including Le Cordon Bleu and ICHM programmes as required). Additionally the Lecturer is required to develop relevant learning materials. The Lecturer in this position is responsible for the delivery of subjects within the Certificate in Hospitality Level III, IV and Diploma that relate to Commercial Cookery, supervision, hygiene, controls, customer relations, communication and food and wine philosophy.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: A Degree or Diploma or equivalent (in an area relevant to the position) from a recognised tertiary institution, and/or industry experience relevant to the position.




Special Conditions: Some evening and weekend duty may be required. The lecturer will be required to have a flexible attitude to on duty hours as well as to when recreational leave is taken. The successful applicant must meet AQTF/ ARC requirements for the delivery of this educational program, or agree to obtain the relevant qualifications within 12 months of appointment. Successful applicants at the Advanced Skills Lecturers 1 or 2 level will be required to performs their duties to the level outlined in Schedule 2, clause S2.3 of the TAFE (Educational Staff) Interim Award.
