anonymous Reading posts on behalf of PA(T)s of DDs it seems they either don't know english or they don't comprehend the meaning of an english sentence going by the way they are after poor AKS. More over they seem to think that DDs are only for PA(T)s! Really they are like frogs in the well not crabs as wow ji would like to think. sanjay kumar Dear friends (a) the clarification on split recruitment in a year are being asked so as to place earlier selected candidates before later selected candidates, (b) we are trying to vacate the stay in the ACP case so as to enable us to get the arrears released as per court orders in April 2007, (c) the cadre review meetings are going on and three meetings are over. our final proposal is to be submitted next week and it shall be put in our website before 29.11.08.

Staffers at Prasar Bharati were not teated as government employees and, deprived of various sarkari benefits had been protestsing incessantly. Despite the status of staffes being decied, the status of Prasar Bharati itself remains unclear. Surely by giving sarkari ststus to its workforce, the government has perhaps indicated that it now plans to shelve this "experiment with autonomy" which anyway existed only on paper. Because niether directorate nor psa is adopting DOPT ruling. So am ouating tjis ruling here for all. According DOPt OM no20019/2/83/83-estt{d] dated 10.9.85 OM no 20011/1/88-Estt[d] dated 12.12.1988 it is clearly instructed to the departments that where the posts inthe feeder cadre are indiffirent scales of pay or even in identical or eqievalent scales of pay,officers up to the number of vacancies for each feedar cadre grade as per the quata may be selected and interpolated in acombined select list according to grading.for the details any body can see this ruling on page number9 of swamey, compilation on seniority and promotion in central govt service. but since last 18 years thi sruling are being violated in the vested intersted. can any body tell me that our senior trexs who are working as adhoc pexes are promoted i 1989 and 2001 on the basis ofIf we are realy date of joinig seniority.when in Madhukar pandey case the seniority is merit then under which rule they are working as adhoc pexes. secondly dopt has not given extenton to them since last two and half years.if we are realy want to save our career and cadre then PSA MUST demand that seniority should be prepared according to above metioned ruling. This is the mater is of only ten days if this ruling adpoted. Only five PSA member can finalise this problem and provide list to DG for Promotion. IF PSA want to provide these documents/rulinfs ican provide the all orders in this regard.

Why second wife? Normally in our society that is how old maids end up and have to be satisfied and we are also like that! Old eligible for not one promotion but double promotions and get adhoc promotions...

Dr Rajesh Ganesh jee , I have mailed a scanned copy of the MOF letter w.r.t. 4600 grade pay on Sanjay jee ID which has been quoted in this box . But that letter does'nt seem to be clear about the grade pay upgradation . Pl see it and tell our President to see that and enlighten us .

Shall anything be done regarding the emoluments? Some PEX(I/C)s are enjoying same scale as the Pex(Ad-hoc)s. Shall a rationale be established? anonymous It is nothing new Hullabol. See their threats and words of wisdom for others in this box. They are behaving like terrorists and we like our govt(giving bhashans)! PSA people in DD are dependent on these leeches. The programmes may vanish, misplaced or erased. DDs are held to ransom by these people, while heads of DD behave in the usual way 'so long as some one else faces the problem every thing is ok'! That's why PA(T)s think they can dictate. It is high time DD trexs are made to supervise the working of PA(T)s and take charge of the programmes. But for that we need more hands. Maybe till then the Pexs can take charge and the heads of DD can cooperate or made to cooperate!

anonymous Maybe DD can book 'stringers' as their news rooms do. AIR also has that policy I believe to tide over the shortage of hands. One important thing though. The 'stringers' or casual production assistants should be supervised by regular prog people, not PA(T)s.

NARENDRA PATNAIK I think there is confusion regarding grade pay 4200 or 4600. But the tables given vide Finance ministry's pay-fixation memo grade pay of 4600 starts against the older basic of 7450/-. If elsewhere there is any other reference let's dig it out.

PSA has miserably failed in projecting the Doordarshan staff structure. it has once again proved it is only an AIR association that too for Direct Recruit TREXs and PEXs. Even they are ready to give away their own promotees. Then how one could expect justice from this association to do justified deeds for Doordarshan. PSA TREXs are often cursing Doordarshan and its professionals and asking them to get out from this forum but Neither they think they should get out from Doordarshan. The Association has no knowledge about cadre review in Doordarshan and has suggested. It is something like a blind guiding a route map. The PSA has suggested outsourcing to so many doordarshan cadres. Do you know that if you really want to improve AIR & Doordarshan you should declare all cadres as dying because all other channel has only administrative cadre as permanent and all programme production for fm channels and television channels are done only by outside producers and production crew. The PSA has suggested the feeder cadre only as TREXs that too look at the requisite qualifications there is no relevance to modern technology where lots of audio visual courses, film television courses have come in. look at engineering. earlier they too recruited their cadre from general pool. but in their cadre review they had clearly upgraded only engineering graduates to be recruited in engineering. But PSA's professionalism is self centered and selfish. It is really sad that such an pathetic condition has come to the Government Electronic Media in the form of PSA - Personal Selfish Association of AIR TREXs.
