Photo of him on the second page and a few more of him throughout the album including one of him in hospital at Christmas time. (Recovering from being wounded?) A total of 42 photos which include some period postcards. Photo's include graveyard scenes, his comrades, ninenwerfer (trench mortar) and it's crew and one of the minenwerfer being fired. Thin cardboard disc which contains 14 small colour koda chrome film pictures of the German focke-wuld 200k. Grade II- $65 4339 GERM WW2 LOT OF EPHEMERA consisting of 11 Feldpost Envelopes, majority with written letters. 6 have ink eagle/ swastika stamps, 2 with Hitler's head stamps. Also 32 B/W photographs. One being larger than postcard size of Oberstleutnant Behola, waist up photo wearing his tunic with the first pattern Luftwaffe breast eagle. Also wearing his 1914 Iron Cross, 1st Class and a side on view of his WWI Pilot or Observer's badge. A cross beside his name, indicating that he is deceased. Rest of the photos are mainly Army related, troops, barbed wire defences, couple of an Army Officer, one with his sword, the other wearing his dress dagger. Some in Russia, i.e., Dnieper River with an army made bridge alongside the original bomb damaged bridge and one of a gun position in the snow (Allakurti, Russia) with a camouflaged artillery piece. Majority with accompanying written descriptions. Covers 1940-41 period. Mixture of uniformed, civilian clothed and scenery photographs. Many in the snow, one with a Gebirgsj„ger wearing a white/(leather?) Panzer style wrap, no insignia or shoulderboards, probably a private purchase. The rest of the photos are mainly of young women. Scenery and birds/animals at the zoo. One small loose photo of a Christmas tree and a table with presents, a large Swastika banner in the background, some creases to this photo. Album cover badly worn, some pages cut out. All photos in GC. Grade II- $65 4346 GERM WW2 PHOTO ALBUM RELATING TO THE SON OF ONE FAMILY. Many photos of him with his family/friends. A couple of him in the Hitler Youth, a photo of him in his RAD uniform and other RAD related photos. Finally a photo of him in his army tunic along with other army related photos, many in the snow. 99 photos in the album, plus 15 loose photos (army & RAD, some alread dupicated in the album). A death card & 4 pages of the mainz & rheinhessen NSDAP newspaper dated 30 August 1943. Grade II- $150 4347 GERM WW2 SA EARLY COMMEMORATIVE PHOTO ALBUM FOR SA MAN HELMUT OERTEL WHO DIED IN 1930. Photo album of 37 B/W photos, letters and newspaper cuttings. Brown leatherette album cover embossed in gilt lettering "In treuem Gedenken an unseren 27.5.1910 Helmut 1.11.1930 von deinen Eltern" (In memory of our faithful Helmut 27/5/1910 - 1/11/1930 from your parents). C/w the original cardboard outer addressed to a relative in Philadelphia USA in 1933. Oertel was only 20 years old when he died. From the partial translation of the newspaper cuttings etc, (much of the written matter is in Sutterlin old German script and very difficult to decipher), he was injured the previous year in a collision with a motorcycle and some trauma during a night march caused his death. Some fantastic images of Oertel in his SA uniform with comrades, shots of his funeral procession, family members, etc. Clear image of Oertel lying in state (in SA uniform) with a stern looking SA man to each side. B/W postcard of Adolf Hitler at the front of the album. Album pages are loose, but come with the original spider paper dividers. A unique item and an amazing piece of history, certainly worthy of further research. O/A Grade II-. $475* 4348 GERM WW2 GROUP OF 4 LARGE FORMAT B/W PHOTOS OF DINKELSBUHL AND MUNICH. Most likely pre-war photos as they have English captions written across the lower. 3 photos of Dinkelsbuhl are all of the town and its ancient cobblestone paved roads. Large NSDAP drapes can clearly be seen hanging from the quaint old houses and buildings. The photo of Munich is of a NSDAP parade past the monument to the unknown soldier. A Hitler Youth band is captured in the image marching along with several other Wehrmacht and Paramilitary groups. Photos measure approx. 16x25cm. Interesting items of history. Grade II-. $50 4349 GERM WW2 ORIGINAL PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO AND MODERN ENLARGEMENT OF AN SS UNTERSCHARFUHRER (equivalent of a Sergeant). Original measures approx. 50x38mm. Features a nice clear shot of the SS NCO in his visor cap and wearing overcoat done up to the collar. SS runes on the collar are clearly visible as well as the unterscharfuhrer collar insignia, shoulderboards and deaths head insignia on the cap. Enlargement has been professionally done. Any SS photos are difficult to come by. Would look smart framed together with the enlargement, perhaps with some SS insignia. Photograph appears to be one of a series, mounted on light blue cardboard backing. Grade II $15 4351 GERM WW2 ARMY RELATED PHOTO ALBUM. Titled to front cover "Meine Dienstzeit" (My Service Time). 105 B & W photos. Many interesting uniformed photo's of EM's wearing M36 tunics and great coats, some on horseback. Couple of photos of officers. Photo's of EM's in the snow, clearing roads and also photos of them skiing. Other photos of towns, scenery, and bomb damage. An interesting album. Grade II- $285 4352 GERM WW2 B/W LUFTWAFFE PHOTOGRAPH of a unteroffizier. A nice clear photograph, showing collar tabs and wearing his visor cap. Dated April 1940 to the reverse with his surname (hard to decipher) and the photograph's ink stamp. A small phtograph, 6cms x 8.5cms. Shoulder up photograph wearing his side cap, totenkopf collar tab visible. Plain black circular steel frame with a thin perspex/plastic centre which has an orange-yellowish tint. Grade II $80 4355 GERM WW2 B/W POSTCARD SIZED PHOTOGRAPH of a uniformed soldier, collar up shot, wearing a single decal M40 helmet. Written in pencil on the reverse "Gefallen am 6/3/43." (Killed 6th March, 1943). Grade II- $25 4356 GERM WW2 SMALL PHOTO ALBUM CONTAINING 28 PHOTOS. Majority of the photos have military content. Album possibly belonged to a cavalry EM, as many of the photos have horses featured. Nice shot of the EM on sentry duty and also one in his Waffen Rock (dress tunic). Large studio portrait measuring 20cm by 14.5cm with fascimile signature of Von Fritsch. Great looking portrait with the general in his visor cap and tunic wearing the Knights Cross. Thin paper cards measuring approx 7 by 10cm, each with a B&W photo image of the Knights Cross winner to the obverse & a brief biography to the reverse. Cards numbers 54,56,18, 3,19,7 & 55. Grade II- $85 4361 GERM WW2 SMAL LPHOTO ALBUMS. Single photo to a page. Nice little colour printed scene on the front cover of a MG08 crew in action. Dated 1939 in pencil to the inside front cover. 8.6 x 9cm photos. All military/customs officials related shots. Mostly shots of officers and customs officials. Showing some nice details of uniforms etc. As there is provision to hold 48 x 9 photos the album could be utilised for other photos if desired. Grade II- $75 4362 GERM WW2 B&W POSTCARD STUDIO PORTRAIT OF A LUFTWAFFE GEFREITER. Measures approx. 135mm by 85mm. Features the man in his fliegerbluse with Luftwaffe breast eagle, wearing a nice Em's visor cap. Grade II- $35 4363 GERM WW2 LARGE B & W STUDIO PORTRAIT PHOTO OF A 'DEUTSCHES JUNGVOLD' (DJ) OR GERMAN YOUNG PEOPLE MEMBER. This organisation was for youth aged between 10-14 and was part of the Hitler Youth movment. Chest up shot of the boy in shirt and scarf with leather knot (Lederknoten). Shows the single shoulder strap with the machine woven 'Jungbann' number. Nice clear image, slightly yellowed from age. Written on to the reverse and dated '1937'. Grade II- $25 4364 GEM WW2 ARMY OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHY OF FUNERAL PARADE BURIAL PARTY OF PRISONERS OF WAR. Postcard size stamped to rear Stalag VIIIB with German text. P.O.W's appear to be a Scottish orion. O/A in good condition. Grade II- $20 4365 GERM WW2 LUFTWAFFE PHOTO ALBUM. Large format album with 106 photos in all. (Missing a few photos). Blue leatherette outer cover in good condition. Approx. 60 of the photo are military related with the owner of the album beginning his career in the Luft Waffe as a senior NCO (rank of stabsfeldwebel) most likely in a flak battery and then eventually promoted to officer ranks. There are 3 excellent larger format photos measuring from 165mm by 110mm to 240mm by 170mm. One is a handsome pre-war shot of one officer and 8 Stabsfeldwebels (Senior NCOS) all wearing jodhpurs, complete with 1st pattern luftwaffe swords, shooting lanyards and nice clear details of the uniforms. Another is of what looks like the whole company, approx. 120 men. Various shots of luftwaffe men in uniform in uniform etc. 9 of the photos are war time but non military related (family etc) and approx. 37 of the photo are post war presumably of the veterans reunions. These take place in 1953, 1960 and the last one in the album in 1967.
