5293 GERM WW2 ARMY M42 HELMET. Rough slate grey finish, stamped "CKL 34, 2727" Inside rear flare. Tan leather liner and chinstrap, both showing O/A wear. Some one looking to see if a decal is present, has cleaned back a small area under the left venthole, otherwise a nice combat example. Grade II-. $875

5294 GERM WW2 M35 Steel Helmet. Shell only with splinter pattern camouflage cover attached. Worn washed outer appearance to cover with a couple of nice field repairs. Grade II- $450

5295 GERM WW2 Single Decal Army M40 Helmet. Dark Apple Green Painted finish with O/A wear. Decal showing wear to parts of the eagle, stastika still very clear. Stamped "EF 64" inside left flare. Has an original tan leather liner in GC. (Shoe Lace replacing original tie string) and an original chinstrap with an old repair to the right side joining the "D" ring. Although original, the liner has been replaced in the past. Single decal army helmets are now becoming harder to find. Grade II-. $1250

5296 GERM WW2 LUFTWAFFE M34 PATTERN LIGHTWEIGHT FIRE HELMET. Smooth black painted Shell with a 1cm wide white painted stripe encircling the Helmet. National Tri-colour Shield & Luftwaffe Insignia, both removed, outlines of both still visiable. Missing Liner, chinstrap side with buckle present Other side missing. Grade II- $250

5297 GERM WW2 RLB SHALLOW VISORED STEEL HELMET. Smooth dark green painted finish. Large "RLB" decal to front rates about 85- 90% with some areas of wear. Small dent above decal. 2 x sets of seven air vent holes to either side. Excellent tan size 54 leather liner with top pad & drawstring. Original black leather chinstrap in VGC. Nice O/A example of one of the harder to find helmets. Grade II- $850

5298 GERM WW2 Beaded 2 Piece Luftscutz "Gladiator" Helmet. Dark satin blue paint with small paint loss and a number of small dents to dome. L/S. Decal Rates 95% with clear swastika. Size 56. Size decal clear concise on rear skirt of helmet. Nice liner (56cms). Buckles have been removed from thin chinstrap (leatherette material thin). Great starter helmet for collection. Grade II- $495

5299 GERM WW2 M35 Steel Helmet. Painted Luftschutz dark satain blue. Exterior of shell repainted a white camo with a large hand painted Red Cross on top, ends of the cross arms terminating on the helmet rim. Interior of rear flare has white painted wording "MAF/A.817 San.Komp, also paper sticker to inside of dome with wording "MAF/A 817, Mahl.G M13 liner with light creamish-tan eight finger liner, leather dry. Shell size 62. Exterior paint shows age and wear but possible a postwar issued helmet. No chin strap. Grade II $550

5300 GERM WWI M16 STEEL CAMO HELMET. Shades of brown with dark green divided by black finger width lines. Heavy O/A wear to the painted camo finish. Original brown leather liner band but missing all pads. Stamped "ET 66" inside left flare. An original camo M16, due to the missing liner pads. Grade III+ $750

5301 GERM WW2 REFURBISHED M42 STEEL HELMET. Army grey-green painted finish with O/A light wear. New size 57 tan leather liner and reproduction black leather chinstrap. Ideal for the German re-enactor. Grade II $450

5302 GERM WW2 ARMY M42 STEEL HELMET. Field grey painted finish with only storage wear. Stamped "Q64" inside rear flare. Wording inside rear flare in white paint "To my nephew, Frankie - Love, Uncle Jackie". Steel liner band with felt lining. Leather liner torn out, remains of the leather liner still with the helmet. Reproduction black leather chinstrap. Exterior of helmet, Grade II. Interior lining, Grade IV $650

5303 GERM WW2 LUFTWAFFE M35 DOUBLE DECAL STEEL HELMET. Luftwaffe blue-grey painted finish with wear mainly to the dome section. Painted finish has been polished. Original decals with age crazing to the national shield. 2nd pattern eagle with detailing now indistinct. Shell stamped "Q64" inside left flare. Dark brown leather liner and chinstrap showing light wear. Light rust to inside top section of the dome. Grade II- $1250

5304 GERM WW2 2 PIECE M38 LUFTSCHUTZ HELMET. Smooth dark blue finish with the gilt Luftschutz decal to the front. Decal in VCG. Light area of pitting to the front, mainly part of the front flare but does not detract from the overall appearance of the helmet. Complete tan pigskin liner with original drawstring and original black leather chinstrap. Liner and chinstrap both showing some age and light service use. The underside of the rear flare has a Luftschutz sticker and also the helmet size '57'. A very original example. Grade II- $450*

5305 GERM WW2 EARLY FIRE POLICE SQUARE DIP M34 STEEL HELMET. Black enamel painted finish with light O/A wear. Small dent to the right rear dome section. Tilted swastika decal to the right side, rates approx 60%. Has provision for aluminium comb, hoes correctly covered, original black leather liner with chinstrap, both showing service wear. Grade II- $500

5306 GB/AUST WW1 BRODIE PATTERN STEEL COMBAT HELMET. Complete with oilskin net and felt liner and leather chin strap. Size 67/8. An area of corrosion/rust is evident at the rear of the helmet dome and a length of the rim area. (Commensurate with the helmet having been sat in a wet area on a very acute angle). Minor rim beading is missing. The damaged area is not noticeable from the front. Grade II- $585

5308 HOLLAND WWI SCARCE MODEL 1916 STEEL HELMET. Green painted exterior with a few scrap marks only. Three rectangular slots cut into the flare, one to the rear. (Part of the original manufacture of the helmet). Black leather three pad style liner showing light service wear. Leather liner band. Original black leather chinstrap. Grade II $585*

5309 ITALY WW1 MODEL 1915 STEEL HELMET. ADRIANE STEEL with 'Horizon Blue' Paint. 1st Pattern liner & chinstrap. Overall 'crack- ing' to paint otherwise a very nice looking period Helmet. Grade II- $550

5310 ITALY WW2 M33 STEEL HELMET. Brown painted steel shell (scuffed). Has had two holes to front for badge, but filled Original leather liner with some damage to rear section with two flaps missing. Has leather chinstrap. Grade III+. $300

5311 JAPAN WW2 M31 Steel Helmet Battlefield Recovered Relic. Large hole (Corrosion) to rear, right quadrant. Rest of helmet very corroded. O/W still reasonably solid. Grade IV. $165

5312 JAPAN WW2 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HEMET AND PROTECTIVE MASK, nice clean o/d painted steel helmet with white canvas liner with cloth chinstrap. C/w protective mask consisting of a dark blue cotton cloth face veil with a long neck flap/cape, glass eye lenses (square cut glass) pressent but cloth frames holding them in are damaged. As used for Air Raid Defence. O/a Grade II-. $500

5313 JAPAN WW2 M30 STEEL HELMET (SHELL ONLY). More than likely go condition battlefield find with rust stabilised. Re-painted in a brown primer with an olive green overcoat. Outline of where the IJA Star was located to front. Light pitting evident throughout (but not noticeable unless up close). good for re-enactment or display. Grade II- $155

5314 JAP WW2 M30 STEEL ARMY HELMET. Brown painted finish with areas of wear. Metal army star insignia to front. Brown leather padded liner with khaki cloth chinstrap. Both showing service use. Small white painted Japanese character (size) inside rear flare. Small dent to top, possibly battle damage resulting in a 60mm long hairline crack to the top rear section of the dome. A very appealing example of a WW2 Japanese army helmet. Grade II- $895

5315 JAPAN WW2 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HELMET. (Type with slightly elongated rim at brow and neck areas.) White painted painted horizontal stripe around dome. (Aged) usual light rust spots showing through original paint work (paint rates at 90%) Light webbing liner and tie-off drawstring chin strap is complete. Painted Japanese writing inside dome. Grade II- $385

5316 POLAND POST WW2 MOD 50 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HELMET. Grey painted Soviet style Steel Helmet with Comb. Three pad basic liner and leather chinstrap. Unusual looking Helmet. Grade II. $350

5317 CZECHOSLOVAKIA WW2 MODEL 1934 STEEL HELMET. Brownish/Khaki painted finish with O/A light wear. Leather five pad liner, each pad secured by a single rivet. Brown leather chinstrap with a black painted steel buckle. Ink stamping inside the rear of the helmet which features the national shield, '37' and "SCH-M." Grade II- $325*

5318 RUSSIA WW2 ORIGINAL WW2 SOVIET M-36 STEEL HELMET. Used in many Hollywood Movies over the years, has the original factory dark OD green paint job. The outside shows scuff marks & some areas of light surface rust (paint 65-70% complete), while the inside displays much rusting around where the liner attaches, (rest generally OK w/places of surface rust). Comb is present on the top & the brown leather six-tongued liner still has the black tie string, (but liner is tearing loose from the helmet band & is dry & cracking). Chinstrap attachment buckles are rusted. Cannot detect any stampings or marks. A scarce Helmet in it's own right, but has had an interesting story. Grade III+ $650

5319 SOUTH AFRICA WW2 Steel helmet with crude original 1942 liner Has chinstrap. Surface rust to underside of shell. Outer paint with about 70% original finish but has storage ring of rubber/tar to crown from weight of other helmets on top. 3 drilled holes to rear to afix neck flap(not present). Grade II- $120

5320 SWEDEN M26 STEEL HELMET. Retains all finish, with decal on front. Has 3 pad leather liner and chinstrap. Grade II. $85

5321 SWISS C/WW2 ARMY STEEL HELMET. Heavy black painted finish. Has leather three pad liner and chinstrap. Shows some service wear. Good example. Grade II- $150

5322 US WW1 MOD. 1917 STEEL HELMET. Has all original O/D Saw dust finish. Interior dirty. Has oil cloth liner but very soiled. Missing chinstrap. Apart from the dirty interior this is a nice example. Looks like it came straight out of the Trenches. Grade II- $300

5323 US WW1 M-17 "BRODIE" STEEL HELMET WITH 27TH DIVISIONAL INSIGNIA. Shell only, no liner. Original O/D finish with painted divisional insignia to front. Has small ding and fracture to very top. Otherwise Grade II- $285

5324 US WW1 M-1917 BRODIE HELMET. Really good example with original saw dust mix finish, Divisional Insignia for the 78th Infantry Division can just be made out on one side. Original liner and leather chinstrap. Grade II. $500

5325 US WW1 M-1917 STEEL HELMET. This particular example is reputedly to have belonged to Sgt Joseph Carrol Strickland a soldier of the 144th Infantry Regiment, 36th Division (France 1918), although not marked as such. An interesting part of this example is that it has been repainted on the outside in 'Forrest Green' for use in the 'Aggressor Force' a mock enemy formation used in training & field exercises. The interior retains the original OD finish & the remains of the original liner, this in very poor condition and missing the chinstrap. O/a an unusual example. Grade III+ $185

5326 US WW2 M1 STEEL HELMET. Shell with dark green finish (over- all service wear and abrasions). Front seam join. Swivel chinstrap, but missing. Chinstrap loops and stamps. Olive drab painted fibre liner has tan web liner, but missing chinstrap and sweatband. Still good display piece. And becomming hard to find. Grade III+ $250

5327 US WW2 Battlefield recovered relic M1 Steel Helmet. Heavily corroded overall with large area to rear dome missing through shrapnel/corrosion. Both chinstrap braces still present. Other small areas missing through corrosion. Found in Solomon Island Battlefield weapon pit. Great conversation piece. Grade IV. $120

5328 US WW2 Tanker's Protective Helmet. Fibre construction with leather fittings. Stamped Sears Saddlery Co. Iowa. Size 7. Few of the press stud missing. Displays very well. Grade II- $350

5329 US C/1951-60 KOREAN WAR M1 STEEL HELMET SHELL with Post War fibre liner. Late WW2 shell with rear rim join, hinged chinstrap bails with C/1951-60 web chinstraps. Original O/D Grit finish. C/w Post War C/1970-80s liner (no chinstrap). Grade II- $85

5333 US WWI MKI RIMMED BRODIE PATTERN STEEL HELMET. 80% original finish intact. Original painted 78th infantry regiment. Colour patch to side. Very nice chinstrap and liner. Grade II- $575*

5335 US WW2 MI HELMET used in the film "Saving Private Ryan". Original WW2 front seam shell, Vietnam period liner with full webbing and reproduction chinstrap. Shell has the green web chinstrap, O/D finish repaint and painted rank insignia for first lieutenant on the front, "2 Rangers' battalion" insignia on the rev. two small dings to the top of the dome. C/W certificated of authenticity, stated that this helmet was used in the film. Grade II- $350*

5336 US WW2 FIXED BALE MEDIC'S MI HELMET. An original fixed bale, front seam shell with original tan web chinstrap. Three large white square patches around the shell with red cross markings. These medics markings are not original, although look deceivingly real. Have been hand painted and applied in a manor as to simulate age and actual field wear. C/w original WW2 fibre liner complete with webbing & leather chinstrap. Liner also painted white with medic's markings of which only 70% remains. A great display item or gap filler. Grade II- $850

5337 FRANCE WW2 STEEL M26 HELMET - CASQUE ADRIANE. With fair condit- ion leather liner. Painted in a olive green colour with some small period dents from service use. Chinstrap present but well used. Standard Republique Francais Badge to front. Grade II- $275

5338 AUST WW2 SLOUCH HAT. FUR FELT. Press stud side. (Carr Aust). Has chinstrap (worn) but missing sweatband. Has five fold pugaree (no colour patch). No Rising Sun. O/a moth damage and hole to brim. Becoming hard to get. Still OK for display. Grade III+ $250

5339 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side By. "Carr" Australia. Six fold Puggaree. Oxy Rising Sun Hat Badge. Has liner (worn) "D" Arrow "D" marked, but no date visable. Also has chinstrap. Some light moth grazing to underside of brim, heavier mothing to under the puggaree, but hidden, also large 3cm cut to rear under puggaree and also hidded. A nicely shaped hat. Grade II- $485

5340 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side By. "Carr" Aust. Re-inforced edge to brim. Six fold pugaree. (No colour patch). Has Rising Sun Hat Badge. Has sweatband (No visiable date) and chinstrap. Light moth grazing only. These are drying up very quickly. Invest in the future. Grade II- $500

5341 AUST WW2 Slouch hat. Press stud side catch by Carr Aust. Brown air eyelets. Period puggaree. Size 6 3/8. Hads nice shape and nice oxy rising sun hat badge. Manufacture and date stamps too badly worn to read. Sweatband partialy unstitched. O/a a good looking example. Grade II- $500

5342 AUST KOREAN WAR SLOUCH HAT 1952 DATED. By John Bardsley & Son Pty Ltd. Sixe 6 5/8. Very nice K/C Australian Artill- ery Hat Badge and very worn puggaree which gives the hat a very much "been there - done that" look. Minor moth nips and Service soiling. Grade II- $185

5343 AUST ARMY SLOUCH HAT WITH PUGAREE. No badges or colour patch No chinstrap. Dated 1994. Size 52. By Mount Castle. Nice good clean example. Would make a great gift for an Overseas collector. Grade II. $65

5344 AUST WW2 WAAF HAT FUR FELT. Similar to slouch hat design but bashed for Womens wear. Press stud side. Has KD pugaree with KC RAAF hat badge. Sweat band and chinstrap removed. O/a a nice looking example. Grade II- $300

5345 AUST WW2 SLOUCH HAT RAAF PATTERN '1944' dated sweatband (this has been re-tacked in) but original and still some stitch wear, no side press stud as per pattern, only very light grazing in very small areas. Grade II. Size 6 7/8. $385

5346 AUST RAAF C/WW2 SLOUCH HAT, press stud side, brim edging cut off as was the practice during WW2. Puggaree RAAF pattern, and OR's hat badge to front, oxy KC. Approx size 57 cm. No sweatband or chinstrap. Light moth grazing and service wear. Grade II-. $250

5348 AUST WW2 HAT, BLACK WOMENS, RED CROSS AND VAD, Head band and badge missing chin strap snapped, marker label: N18, 1944. Made in Australia. Size 20". Small head. Now hard to find. Grade II- $250

5349 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT, FUR FLET. Press stud side. Six fold puggaree. Oxy rising sun hat badge. Leather sweatband dated 1943. Size 6 3/4. No chinstrap. A very nice example. Grade II+ $550

5350 AUST WW2 1942 DATED SLOUCH HAT (FUR FLET). Missing chinstrap and rising sun badge, also missing the eye of the hook and eye fasten on brim. The sweatband is badly damaged, about 50% of it is detached. There is some moth grazing to the underside of the brim but only two actual small holes. The pugaree isn't dated and the colour patch is for the 2/16th Infantry Battalion (1940-45). Pugaree is soiled but overall a good condition hat. Grade II- $400

5356 AUST 1950'S SLOUCH HAT. Khaki, fur felt. 1956 dated made by Northcote Hats Pty Ltd. Complete with period puggaree and 1948-53 period R.A.E.M.E. Badge to turned up side. Normal hook and loop fastener. Nice complete hat (including chinstrap) with no mothing. A nice display item. Grade II- $125

5357 AUST MALAYA/BORNEO HAT. Khaki, fur-felt. (Slouch hat). 1955 made by Northcote Hats Ltd. Large size 7 1/8. Nice period hat complete with puggaree, chinstrap and 53-60 period Royal Australian Infantry Corps hat badge. Grade II- $160*

5358 AUST MODERN HAT. KHAKI, FUR-FELT (SLOUCH HAT). 1991 dated by Akubra, size 54cms. For Royal Australian Navy Commissioned Officers use during land operations. Navy blue pugaree. With bi-metal badge with Q/C with slider back. No side fastener as usual for Naval pattern slouch hats. Grade II- $130*

5359 AUST WW2 ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE SLOUCH HAT. Made by John Bardsley & Sons Pty Ltd in 1942 size 7. Liner is complete with service use and minor loss to top edge. Pugarree is the single plain (non-pleated) type, chinstrap broken/ detached. Enlisted man's RAAF badge to front. (Oxy brass). Named to "MacDonald" number unreadable. A small number of moth holes to top and some moth grazing to under brim. Grade II- $575

5360 AUST MODERN R.A.A.F. SLOUCH HAT (Hat, blue, fur-felt) made by Mount Castle in 1994. Black leatherett sweat band. Black chinstrap. Blue pugaree with R.A.A.F. embroidered hat badge to front. Size 53cm (small) Grade II- $70

5361 GB WW2 HAT, KHAKI, FUR-FELT (SLOUCH HAT) 1942 DATED. By maker "Denham and Hargraves Ltd of Atherstone." Nice impressed broad arrow acceptance mark to complete leather sweatband. Size 7 1/4. GB made wide style chinstrap in good service used condition, side press stud and sewn in English puggaree. A blue with grey and green horizontal striped colour patch has been moved from the puggaree to the up- turned brim. This plain edged hat is typical of the type used by the famed "Chindits" in the Burma theatre of War. A very nice display item with only very minor moth grazing. Grade II- $500

5362 GB WW2 SLOUCH HAT FOR BRITISH USE IN BURMA/PACIFIC. Australian made by factory V553 size 7 1943 (all readable on good condition sweatband. Raw edge brim with single press stud to L/H/S. Comes with pugaree with sewn on blue, white and green colours background with Royal signals corps hat badge (central L/H/S). Brown grommets. No chinstrap. "Round bash" instead of central 'bash'. Very nice. Grade II $500

5363 GB MODERN ROYAL GURKHA TRANSPORT REGIMENT HAT. Khaki, fur- felt (slouch hat). C/2001 issue. Aize 6 7/8. Unusual double hat style with extra stitching. Pepper pot air vents. Q/C badge to side. Grade II $200*

5364 GB WW2 AUSTRALIAN MADE HAT KHAKI-FUR-FLET (SLOUCH HAT). Made by factory N196 in 1942 size 6 3/8. (About 55cms). Nice intact sweatband. Simple four fold pugaree. 8th Bn city of London regiment hat badge to upturned brim. Very little wear and tear. no visible mothing. Grade II $595*

5365 RHODESIA WW2 SLOUCH HAT AND PUGAREE WITH RED FOLD. Sweat band is removed. 1922 pattented press stud to hold up side. 6 air vents. Few small moth grazes but nothing that detracts from the appeal of this hat. White metal general service badge affixed to front. (With small piece of red felt backing.) Grade II- $385*

PICKLEHAUBES

5366 GERM IMPERIAL POLICE PICKELHAUBE. Black leather exterior with a few small scratches and some crazing but still in VGC. W/M police style spike with pearlring and two ventilation holes. Cruciform W/M base, missing two of the domed studs. W/M trim to front peak and the rear spine. Brass helmet plate with green painted section (paint now worn) and scroll to the base with the German town name "niederdollendorf". Helmet plate is in the shape of a crown to it's top and the scroll to it's base. Black leather chinstrap with a single black painted steel buckle. Prussian cockade to the right side. Em's style brown interior trim in VGC. Owner's initials "T.K." to forehead area. Grade II- $850*
