5203 GB WW2 RAF Mk IVB Flying Goggles. Stores Ref. 22c/167. In carton box of issue with spare lenses (not complete spares) box tatty and stained. Goggles have inside rubber supports in poor aged condition o/w good. Grade II- $275

5204 GB WW2 light canvas wired navy type "D" helmet with gosport receivers capped, white silk-like lining, inside lining stamped No.3, size 7 1/2 - 7 3/4, "11883", helmet in very good condition, "G" type oxygen mask, not marked, type 28 carbon microphone, marked "AM" and crown. 10A/12570, oxygen mask in fair condition, MKVIII goggles, in very good condition, tab inside goggles, "02-SHM-281". $1450

5205 GB WW2 DARK BROWN LEATHER TYPE "C" 2ND PATTERN HELMET, same as 1st pattern but with wiring loom and earphones already installed, receiver marked "AM" and crown 40A/12401, no markings on leather helmet, helmet in well used but still good condition. "H" oxygen mask, complete with tubing and all fixtures, rubber shows age cracking and has separated around transmitter holder, MK III flying goggles, well used strap brocken near clip, no markings. $950

5206 GB WW2 DARK BROWN LEATHER TYPE "C" FLYING HELMET FIRST PATTERN, (STORES - 22C/449-452), has elasticized back strap and a "Bennet" buckle and four leather goggles retainer straps, two Northern Electric receivers marked "AFD 140 R.C.A.F IDa/1421", helmets stamped on the outside in green ink "AM" and crown, below 22C/450, comes with cables attached to the receives and a large transmitter marked "R.C.A.F 10A/2505, type GR" and a 10H7836 connector With the helmet comes a pair of MK VIII flying goggles, ink stamped on the inside, unable to read, goggles are in used but very good condition. $850

5207 CANADA WW2 RCAF MK III FLYING GOGGLES. 1941 dated. Clear perspex lenses, oversize leather padding. RCAF and 1941 stamps to headstrap. SCARCE. $350

5208 GB WW2 FLYING GOGGLES MK IVB-22c/167. Nice set with folding tinted polarizing sun shield. C/W original box of issue with extra lenses, guide plates, strips of leather backed chamois for extra padding. Box lid a little tatty O/W nice lot. Grade II. $500

5209 US CIRCA WW2 "MONTANA PEAK" Enlisted man's khaki fur felt service hat, with brass enlisted man's badge to front. Missing chin strap, overall soiling. Some moth grazing to top and underside of brim. Comes with plywood wall hanger, used to keep the brim flat. Grade II- $150

5210 AUST Vietnam War 1968 dated giggle hat (Bush hat). New inissued. Large size 7 1/4. by CGCF. Grade II+ $65

5211 AUST Vietnam war bush hat/giggle hat. Green/black camouflage in the same material as the old "Smock, Tropical". Rip stop nylon material. Fairly well used. Grade II- $40

5212 AUST 1950'S NAVAL RATINGS HAT. NAMED TO F.E. BARDEN. White top with heavy soiling. No tally band. Heavy mothing around felt band. Drawstring liner. Framl Edwin Barden enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy at HMAS "Cerberus" on the 8th May, 1950. Discharged 17th September, 1953. Grade III+ $85

5213 AUST MODERN 1991 DATED SLOUCH HAT. Used By R.S.N., C.P.O. Badge to front with navy blue puggaree. Size 57cm. Couple of small moth nips. Grade II-. $120

5214 AUST WW2 R.A.A.F. STYLE SLOUCH HAT. Unstitched brim. 4 eye- lets on either side of dome. Missing the leather liner. Numerous small eyelets under the 6 fold khaki Puggaree. Large size (at least 7 1/2) 60/62cm. No mothing to upper & only a couple of moth grazes under brim. No Badge has been fixed to the hat. Country style bash, but could be an unissued specimen. Nice addition to Australian WW2 Pacific Collection. Grade II- $450

5215 AUST WW2 RAAF STYLE SLOUCH HAT. EXCELLENT CONDITION. Item with leather internal liner dated 1944. Made By. N.121. Size 6 7/8. Double row of 4 eyelets to dome with 12 other eyelets around lower dome area. (These have a blue shoelace threaded through & ties in a bow as an unofficial Pugaree) Carraust. Side clip. No badges affixed. Grade II+ $525

5216 AUST WW2 RAAF E.M. SIDECAP WITH LARGE BRASS RAAF BADGE AND TWO BASIC BUTTONS TO FRONT. 1943 Dated. Large Size 7 1/4. No mothing. Grade II+ $85

5217 AUST WW2 R.A.A.F ISSUE, HAT, KHAKI, FUR-FELT, (SLOUCH HAT). Press stud on L/H/S. Very good condition showing only a small number of tiny moth grazes. Made by Victorian factory V553 in 1942 size 6 7/8ths. Penned service number of 408275 (research shows warrant officer Arthur Oswald Chellis. Joined 15 Aug 1941, discharged 19 July 1945). Liner is a grey leather removeable style designed to increase air flow around the head. Original to hat.5 No stitching to brim as seen on many period hats. Great example with extra eyelets in hat. (Again for air circulation in the tropics. Great display item. Grade II- $475

Ludhiana". 2x K/C buttons to front and nice bullion embroidered K/C. I.A.M.C. hat badge to L/H/S. Gold piping and maroon centre colour of hat displays very well. No damage. Grade II- $150

5231 GB WWI RFC (ROYAL FLYING CORPS) WINTER FUR HAT. Khaki whip cord with black seal fur turn down side flaps. An issued piece with a cream War Dept ink stamp on the inside quilted lining. RFC hat badge to front L/H/S. Light mothing to front R/H/S. A rare and desirable WWI hat. Also worn by the North Russian Relief Force 1919. Grade II- $850*

5232 GERM WW1-2 SCARCE M18 TRANSITIONAL STEEL HELMET. Shell size 'ET 64'? Original WW1 green paint on inside shell. Outside shell retains most of the grey over paint with o/a wear, mainly to crown. Single Army decal to LHS rating at about 25%. O/a damage & top half of Eagle remains. Has period but replaced M31 liner. No chinstrap. Transitional helmets are now very scarce. This shell is a good example. Grade II- $950

5233 ITALY C/1930s COLONIAL CARABINIERS BRIMMED HAT. Fawn fur felt. Similar to a Scouts hat with brim edges rolled up. Brown false leather hat band and silver bullion embroid. Carabiniers insignia. Makers mark on sweatband and pink satin lining. An unusual piece of Italian Colonial head gear. Grade II- $500

5234 ITALY WW2 GUNNERY OVER HOOD OF NAVAL PATTERN. Green coarse canvas with opening face flap and ear grommets. Mint unissued example. Grade II+ $100

5235 ITALY WW2 FELT (GREEN/KHAKI) ALPINI-ALPINI TROOPS. With grey leather external band and pocket for the black feather with rifle green 'pom-pom'. Black embriodered badge to front featuring a green with "2" in centre. Appoximate size 58-59 cm. No visible signs of mothing. Leather sweatband + small tear to silk liner. Grade II- $850

Lovely bullion anchor and rank to epaulettes & hat (minor fore & aft tassle stitching wear), c/in its fitted carry case but name plate removed. O/a a lovely set. Grade II. Minor wear to case. $850

Size 56. 2 black ribbon tassles down back both with gold printed 'Anchor' devices. An impressive looking piece of Naval uniform. Leather sweat band. Grade II+ $120*

5241 US WW2 UTILITY HAT (Similar to giggle hat) made of herring bone twill green material (faded). Moderate service use having resulted in some small abrasions to the rim and small areas of the dome. Eight small grommets aid the circulation of air to the head. Tropical area use. Approx size 55cm. Grade II- $200

5255 AUST/GB WW2 Model 1938 Mk1 Air Raid Wardens Steel helmet. Still retains nearly 100% of it's black painted finish sten cilled white "W" (Warden) to front and back. Good liner and has chinstrap. Grade II- $250*

5256 AUST/GB WW2 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HELMET MK2 1940 DATED WITH LINER & CHINSTRAP. Black painted with 'R' centre, (front & rear) rust blemishes have worn through the paint evenly over the helmet. (Original paint 50%) 'R' = 95% intact becoming very scarce. Grade II- $200

5257 AUST WWI MKI BRODIE STEEL HELMET. Complete with liner, chinstrap present (but broken) felt ring also missing. Green painted name of "Smith #2382 22nd Bn." Worthy of further research. Quite a lot of original paintwork remains. Believed name is Pte Arthur Smith of Windsor Victoria. Grade II- $500*

5258 AUST WW2 M.38 STEEL HELMET. Ran edge. Near unissued example. All original green sand gritt finish. Oil cloth liner and web chinstrap. C/w camo net cover (torn at rear). O/a a really good example. Grade II+ $185

5260 AUST WW2 HAT (KHAKI FUR-FELT) WITH PUGGAREE AND 5th DIVISION A.A.S.C. COLOUR PATCH (some mothing). Nice button up brim hat with WW2 oxy badge (50% finish remaining). Made by factory N.121 in 1942. Size 6 7/8. No chinstrap but sweatband is complete and intact. There is a spray of brown house paint on the top front and brim of the hat. (Could be removed carefully). Small tear to rear brim. Grade II- $585

5261 AUST WW2 HELMET STEEL MKII BLACK PAINTED CIVIL DEFENCE PERSONNEL. Liner size 7. Chinstrap present but service used condition. 1941 dated. No sign of Warden "W". Grade II- $165

5262 GB WW2 MK STEEL HELMET 1941 DATED. Type with edge type, folded steel, construction. Size 7 liner with near new chinstrap. Heavy service use with little original paint but has a nice age patina with adds a certain character to it. Stamped "A.M.C. 1941 C791." Grade II- $150

5263 AUSTRIA/AFGHANISTAN WW1 M16 STEEL HELMET. The exterior has O/A rust with intermittent areas of the original green painted finish showing through. There is the remains of a 30cm wide white painted band around the circumference. (As seen on these helmets picked up in moder Afghanistan.There are two holes to the right side of the helmet where a badge was originally attached. The badge has been removed prior to the addition of the white painted band. Rusted interior with no liner band, liner or chinstrap. Still has the liner band rivets and chinstrap attachment lugs. Grade III $350*

5264 BELGIUM POST 1926 INTERWAR STEEL HELMET. Dark green painted French style helmet with a top comb and a lion mask badge to the front. Dent towards the right side front, painted finish still in VGC. Black leather six tongue liner fitted over four steel clips, original brown leather chinstrap. Helmet has been repainted but a very old repaint, possibly pre WW2. Grade II- $350*

5265 BULGARIA WW2 STEEL HELMET. Has original leather liner and chinstrap. Post War repaint of a light green. Grade II- $295

5266 BULGARIA CIVIL DEFENCE, GERMAN THREE PIECE LUFTSCHUTZ HELMET. Smooth apple green finish with large Bulgarian National Shield to right side. (90%present).Leather liner (now dry). Chinstrap incomplete. Liner only secured in two positions and loose. Unusual variant Luftschutz Helmet. Grade II-. $385

5267 BULGARIA WWI CASQUE ADRIANNE STEEL HELMET. Grey/green painted with brass (some verdigris) flaming bomb badge. Leather liner and single strand leather chinstrap with buckle arrangement. Approx size 55cms. Numerous stamps to liner. Normal service use. Grade II- $380

5268 FRANCE WW1 CASQUE ADRIAN. Remnants of blue/grey paint (30% ) Artillery Badge to front. Missing one of the rivets holding the comb in place. Light surface rust. Missing liner and only a small portion of the liner remains. Stamped Size 55. 2 small indentations to either side. Grade II-. $350

5269 FRANCE WW1 STYLE M15 STEEL HELMET "CASQUE ADRIANE". Fairly n throughout with 6 tongue liner and chin strap (damaged and misshapen). Standard "RF" Flaming Bomb Badge to front. (Republique Francais). Grade II- $525

5271 FRANCE WW1 "Casque Adriane" style M15 steel helmet. Retains nearly 100% of it's original dark grey painted finish. Infantry "RF" Flaming Bomb Insignia to front. Dark brown seven tongue leather liner in G/C, but one small tear and stitching undone on rear seam, leather still quite pliable. Still has original brown leather chinstrap. Few dents, mainly to L/S of helmet, still a choice example. Grade II $450

5272 FRANCE 1915 'CASQUE ADRIENNE' WW2 ISSUE. Black leather and felt liner. With service use to chinstrap. No front badge. Grade II- O/a paint 90% $150

5273 FRANCE WW2 M26 ADRIAN PATT STEEL HELMET. Green painted finish with age and service wear. No badge. Very worn liner. Has chinstrap but damaged at one end. Grade III+ $85

5274 GB HELMET MK II ROYAL ARMOURED CORPS, WW2 (1945), steel with stainless steel rim, MK II liner with quick release lift a dot American style snap fastener. Rough paint finish (60%) with white paint dots throughout. Chinstrap has left side buckle missing. O/a Grade II- $150

5280 GB WW2 1940 DATED MKII STEEL HELMET. Post War repaint in Desert Tan. 8th Army. Great for Re enactor or Display. Size 7 Liner (VGC) and good chinstrap. Repainted inside & out. No dents or scratches below painted surface. Grade II- $100

5285 GB POST WW2 MKIII STEEL HELMET (TURTLE HELMET). Black paintd (matt) with liner and usual elastick chinstrap. Usual service wear to paint. (Small size liner). Grade II- $55

5286 GB WW2 Mod.38 MK II Steel helmet. Painted medium blue colour with painted "Police" and painted Sergeant's cheverons. Various parts of the paint have chipped away due to service wear and tear. Still a very nice display item. Grade II- $275

5287 GB WW2 MK2 Fireman's Steel Helmet. Retains nearly all of its khaki painted finish. "NFS" and number "17" transfers to front. "098788 Watson" to inside of rear rim in white paint and on cloth tag attached to the webbing chinstrap. Clean, pliable liner. Grade II. $250

5288 GB POST WW2 MKIII "TURTLE" STEEL HELMET GREEN ROUGH PAINTED. Comes complete with liner and elasticised chinstrap. (1951 date on liner). 59cm liner. With thick sand grit finish. Grade II- $50

5289 GB WW2 MKII STELL HELMET CIVIL "A"-AMBULANCE SERVICE. Black painted with nicely stencilled "A" and yellow rectangular patch to top. 1939 stamp to rear. Grade II- $225

5290 GB WW2 CIVIL DEFENCE "FIRE GUARD" STEEL HELMET. Grey painted high dome civil pattern steel helmet. To the front of the helmet is a white painted oval with a black surround. Black wording to the centre "fire guard." Tan leather sweatband dated "1941" with a white canvas head harness secured to the helmet with black lacing. Helmet also dated "1941" inside the front chinstrap. Grade II- $225*

5291 GERM WW2 M42 STEEL HELMET. Late War, no decal type. Comes complete with M31 liner in poor condition. (One tongue missing/cut out and other tongues have sustained tear damage, however has period drawstring thread through lower tongue holes to make the liner space smaller). The Helmet is a "C.K.L.G.G" with a 58-59cm liner so it could have been issued to someone with a smaller head, hence the modificat- ion of the drawstring. Outer paint is a very dark green, (Almost black) and is 90% present. Inside is a colour similar to apple green with heavy age patina. Split pins look tight and show an even amount of wear as the rest of the helmet. Scarce larger size. Grade II-. $875

5292 GERM WW1 M16 Helmet. Has been painted a very light greyish-blue to exterior and interior, but now showing O/A wear and age. Possibly Hungarian use due to the extra rivet location behind the lug on either side. Also has two small holes to R/S in front of the extra stud, possibly for attachment of a badge. No liner, but all studs present. An intersting helmet requiring further research. Grade II $495
