Duties: The Manager, Community Residential Care is accountable to the Director, Guardianship & Alternative Care for the effective operation of the community residential care facilities through implementation, monitoring and reporting on service plans, policies, strategies, procedures and programs. The Manager will also support and promote a continuous service improvement framework and culture which enables the provision of innovative programs and services focused on the development and/or rehabilitation and integration of young offenders and adolescents at risk into the community. As a member of the Guardianship & Alternative Care Directorate, the incumbent will lead strategic planning and decision making as they pertain to operational services and strategy and ensure sustainable strategic relationships within the Department and relevant wider public sector and non government sector stakeholders. The incumbent will contribute to the attainment of organisational objectives which maximise opportunities for our communities and the effectiveness of the Directorate’s contribution to Department for Families and Communities directions.




Special Conditions: A current driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential. Some intra/interstate travel and out of hours work may be required. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Criminal History and Background Check prior to being employed.

Duties: The National Project Director – Reframing the Future applies highly skilled leadership and project management to the provision of the national vocational education and training (VET) professional development and change management program in line with national vocational education and training policies, strategies and initiatives; Ensures high level strategic relationships with key stakeholders (including ANTA/DEST officers, senior state/territory VET officers, members of the national reference group, national and state industry skills councils, VET practitioners across Australia, the peak training provider stakeholder organisations TAFE Directors Australia and the Australian Council of Private Education and Training, as well as research organisations) are developed, maintained and utilised; Provides highly skilled and entrepreneurial leadership and management of the national project team to meet contracted obligations through effective decision making and judgement of authority relating to financial, human resource and contract management; Provides an effective national communication strategy about the program for the VET sector and for the dissemination of support resources for project sponsors and participants as well as the broader education and professional development sectors; Provides leadership in and contributes to the further development of national professional development and change management policies, strategies and initiative to the Australian VET sector and as a model for the international sector.

Duties: The Department for Families and Communities is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to lead and champion our Human Resources team to add value to the delivery of our services and achievement of our Strategic Objectives by: providing high level strategic advice to the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Directors on Departmental Human Resource improvement opportunities; building an employment brand for the Department and providing leadership for the Departments goal of becoming an Employer of Choice; leading and managing the development of comprehensive corporate Human Resource Management policies, strategies and programs that meet legislative and Whole of Government compliance, standards and support organisational sustainability; ensuring the consistent application of employee relations and work environment policies and strategies across the department; providing leadership to the Human Resource Management function, which includes Industrial Relations and Payroll Services of the Department; contributing to the delivery of agreed outputs and the efficient and effective management of organisational Development; working closely with the Learning & Development and Workforce Health & Safety teams to ensure that the people management functions of the department are integrated; ensuring that the Human Resource function provides a highly customer focused service which results in the continuous improvement of departmental performance.

Duties: The South Australian Housing Trust (SAHT) is part of the Department for Families and Communities, Government of South Australia, and is the State’s public housing authority. The role of Director, Corporate Services is a key position within the South Australian Housing Trust and is responsible for leading, directing and controlling the provision of a comprehensive range of high quality strategic financial and corporate support services for the SAHT which includes: Ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of financial management strategies that support the financial viability of the SAHT. Providing strategic leadership in the recovery of customer debt and granting of benefits to SAHT customers. Leading the provision of housing systems services across the SAHT. Providing high level corporate oversight responsibilities for the SAHT ICT services, payroll, risk management (including insurance services), internal audit, occupational health & safety, corporate training and human resources, records management and information management services.
