Mrs. Ruth Reasonover Tyler, 84, of Pulaski, died Monday, April 15, 1991, at Pulaski Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, April 17, at Carr and Erwin Chapel with Phillip Eubanks officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. A native of Giles County, Mrs. Tyler was the daughter of the late Forrest A. and Lizzie Carpenter Reasonover and was married to the late Sam Potts Tyler. Several nieces and nephews survive.

He is survived by his wife,

Mrs. Ruth Reasonover Tyler; and a brother, Leroy Tyler, Dickson, Tennessee. Mr. Tyler was a retired engineer of the State of Tennessee.

Robert Earl Wilsford, Baptist minister. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Mr. Wakefield died on Tuesday morning, December 26, Giles County Hospital. Born November 1, 1881, in Giles County, he was the son of the late John Franklin Wakefield and Nancy Wakefield. His wife, Mrs. Lessie Ray Wakefield, is deceased. Mrs. Mildred Grace Englett Wall, 80, of Pulaski, died March 6, 2004, at her residence. A Pulaski native, Mrs. Wall was born Aug. 7, 1923, and was the daughter of the late James Edward and William Polk Boshers Englet. She was retired after 34 years of service with Western Union Telegraph Company. Funeral services were held March 8 at Bennett-May Funeral Home with Sonny Mills officiating. Burial was in Mt. Boss Ward died at his home in Pulaski Friday night after a protracted illness of several months. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, conducted by Rev. T. E. Hudson, burial at Moriah. Cycle Ward, 64, farmer of Route 2, Pulaski, was killed Sunday afternoon, Nov. 16, when the pickup truck he was driving apparently went out of control and overturned off a bridge on Big Dry Creek Road. His death brought to five the number of traffic fatalities, to date, in Giles County in 1969. Funeral services were held at 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at Bennett-May Chapel with G. C. Fox, Church of Christ minsiter, officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mr. Ward was born in Giles County on Feb. 2, 1905, and was the son of the late Harry and Samantha Curtis Ward. He was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel May Ward; one son, James Cecil Ward of Greensboro, N. C.; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sweeneyand Miss Christine Ward, both of Pulaski, and Mrs. Annie Swanson and Mrs. Nellie Jean Peoples, both of Greensboro, N. Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Holland Ward, 67, who died Friday morning, were held at one o’clock Saturday afternoon at Pulaski Funeral Home, conducted by Elder J. Clifford Murphy and the Rev. Mack Pinkelton. Burial took place in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, west of Pulaski. Mrs. Ward died at 8:45 o’clock Friday morning, July 11, at the home of her son, Odis Ward, at Frankewing, after several months illness. Mrs. Ward, a member of the Church of Christ, was the widow of Thad Ward who died thirty-three years ago. In addition to one son, Odis Ward, Mrs. Ward is survived by another son, Luther Ward, Nashville; one daughter, Mrs. J. E. Pullum, Nashville; twenty-one grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Holland, Florida; and two half-brothers, Hume Ward and John Ward, both of Lawrenceburg. Mrs. Ward, the last member of her immediate family, was the widow of Frank Ward who died in February 1909. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church. Since our last issue death has claimed one of our sweetest and brightest young ladies, Miss Fannie Warren. She died at her father’s residence one mile west of town, Tuesday, August 28, 1894. At commencement last June Miss Fannie was second in the contest for the gold medal. She was greatly loved by all who knew her. All her classmates and teachers gathered in the chapel and joined in the singing, “We’ll meet again some sweet day, by and by,” and after suitable scriptures and talk we attender her burial at Mount Moriah. God bless the bereaved loved ones.

Obituary: The Pulaski Citizen __ Aug 1998

Mr. W. R. Watkins, 72, of Pulaski died Aug. 27, 1998, at the V. A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Mr. Watkins was born May 27, 1926, in Tennessee and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Amana Refrigeration, Inc. Services were held Saturday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Charles Ingram officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Survivors include wife Oaklene Watkins of Pulaski; two sons, Aubrey Rich of Lewisburg and Reginald Watkins of Pulaski; daughter, Shelia Varga of Lebanon; three brothers, George Watkins, John Henry Watkins, and Brandon Watkins, all of Pulaski; four sisters, Ruby Mae Tosh of Columbia, Mildred King of Prospect, Vana Watkins and Dora Chapman, both of Pulaski; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Mr. James Auburn Wells, 72, of Pulaski died June 25, 2006, at his residence. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, retired from the U. S. Army as a chief warrant officer and retired as an electrical inspector for the state of Tennessee. He was a member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge No. 101, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Beatrice Bean Wells. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday) in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles CountyFuneral Home with Bishop Plunkett presiding. Burial, with full militaryhonors, will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation was to have been 4-8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Sue Cayton Wells of Pulaski; two sons, James Douglas Wells and wife Denise of Waldorf, Md., and Clifford Wayne Robinson of Taylor Mill, Ky.; three daughters, Vickie Lewis and husband Martin of Brookwood, Ala., Tracy Sue Hedgecoth of Pulaski, Connie Rodriguez and husband Atanasio of Dana Point, Calif.; sisters, Opal Lloyd, Lelia Merkle and Norma Burleson; brother Marion Leroy Wells; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
