Many of the beloved colleagues are not aware of the exact structure of doordarshan when it was exactly started in 1959 with the support of Visual Media of Germany making all efforts to create it. The basic structure of the staff was so designed to suit the world television pattern. All supporting documents can be verified from the archieves of the Ministry of Information akdanraj When the order 45011 was issued in 1985 to stop the recruitment of Production Assistants, it was decided by the Ministry of I B under the chairmanship of then Under Secretary (I B) based on the recommendations of the DG DD and DD Administration. All the relevant supporting papers of the Doordarshan Department and the Ministry of I B clearly reveal that many rounds of communication was conducted between the Ministry between 1984 to 1986 and finally the decision DG DD to continue the recruitment for the professional qualified and experienced people for doordarshan and only these rules were known as the Programme Group C Technical Rules and not the posts. All the Directorate approvals, Ministry Clearance, Advertisements were made very clearly based on the 1987 RRs and the provisions for the cadre were according to the 1979 RR. Actually the 1987 RRs were only an amendment to the 1984 amalgamation order and supplement to the 1979 RRs. akdanraj The Department thereafter issued orders to continue the professional cadre of Doordarshan to be recruited by DD itself. Similarly it has to be noticed that in the setup of doordarshan the pattern of programme production is different and involves more than 15 programme sections such as Camera, Graphics, Editing, Projection, Animation, Makeup, Sets, Properties, Costumes, Designing, Special effects, Floor Management, Art Designing, Painting etc and more and more programme personnel are involved in the TV production from Planning, Casting, Story/Script Discussion, Survey, Location, Basic Script, Tele-script, Camera Script, Dialogues, Songs Recording, Shooting Schedule, Camera positions, Continuity, Editing, Re-Recording, Dubbing, Music, Special Effects, Graphics, Animations, (Positive Negative Processing in case of 16mm and 35 mm film), Projection and Transmission etc. So is the programme setup of the DD. Instead making more and more comments I request that there is no problem which cannot be sorted out through dialogues rather than to precipitate things to the worst. (Source : DG DD 1979 RR) so please note that the recruitment were separate for dd and air and also the promotional avenues and rules were different for staff artist in dd. you can also refer to MIB-Air manual 2.1.44. When an application was filed under RTI to know the trexs strength and whether all channels are being monitored, by one of our own trexs the SD replies that all channels are being monitored!
