Grade II- $200 5769 AUST WW1 BOOKLET "3rd AUSTRALIAN DIVISION TRENCH ORDERS" An excellant little booklet detailing many of the orders used whilst in the frontline. All to adhered to. 1916 dated and printed in Sailsbury, England. An extremely rare item as most would have been destroyed. Grade II- $200 5770 AUST WW1 FRAMED CERTIFICATE "Marksman's certificate" 1916 dated. "Military forces of the commonwealth of Australia reserves - Rifle Clubs". 28 x 23cm. Grade II- $60 5771 AUST WW1 DEATH/MOURNING CARD. W/limited research regarding the death of L/Cpl percy cook. Lovely printed card with flowers to front and tribute to percy inside including an original photograph. Research shows percy was killed on the 18th of August 1916. At Poziers, France. He and other members of the bombing platoon of the 5th BN. A.I.F. when a shell landed very close to him. He was not seen again. Buried/commemorated at Villers-brettoneux. Grade II- $125 5772 AUST WW1 Significant lot of approx 65 letter and associated ephemera sent by WW1 digger Pte Roy (Leslie Roy) satchell enlisted 09/09/1915 disch 30/12/1919. Initially with 5th field ambulance, Aust. medical corps. There are quite a number of letters on plain paper, some are on Y.M.C.A fund letterhead, in later war period many of the letters are on 1st Aust. general hospital letter head. In a letter in 1916 Roy details his experiences looking after wounded German prisoners. Also included are a number of B&W and colour post cards and also cablegrams. Most envelopes are still present (Address to the home address in N.S.W) their are two B&W photos in which Roy is present. A number of cards from Roy is also intact. A very interesting epherera lot.
