Setting up Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server of CS LoxInfo

Acknowledgement

  • Blocking a direct connection from e-mail client or server to mail server which located in foreign countries will cause you unable to send e-mail unless the SMTP server setting is changed to “smtp.csloxinfo.com”.

  • The blocking does not affect the settings of local mail server in Thailand or web mail such as CSLOX Webmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail or others but affect only e-mail client software such as Outlook Express, Outlook XP, Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, Eudora, Thunderbird and etc.

Which option is the right for you?

  • If you use any mail servers which located in Thailand or webmail, you don’t need to change the settings.

  • If you already use CS LoxInfo’s SMTP settings as “smtp.csloxinfo.com” or “smtpa.csloxinfo.com”, no more configurations is required.

  • If you use the outgoing mail (SMTP) sever which located in foreign country and use only CS LoxInfo Internet service, the SMTP setting “smtp.csloxinfo.com” is only required for changing.

  • If you use many Internet service providers, the SMTP setting (smtp.csloxinfo.com) with Authentication option is required.

The instruction is available for:

  • Outlook Express

  • Microsoft Outlook 2003

  • Microsoft Outlook 2007

  • Eudora 7

  • Windows Live Mail

  • Thunderbird 2.0

  • Mac OSX Mail



Setting up SMTP Configuration for Outlook Express

  1. Start Outlook Express.

  2. Click Tools menu => Accounts…



  1. Click Mail tab, then Properties.



  1. On Mail Account Properties, click Servers tab, verify if the SMTP setting is smtp.csloxinfo.com. Click OK, if the setting is correct. If it is mail server located in foreign country change it to smtp.csloxinfo.com and then click OK.



Setting up SMTP Authentication

SMTP Authentication setting allows you to use CS LoxInfo’s SMTP server from anywhere in case you use the internet from different service providers or when you are abroad. If you only use CS LoxInfo’s internet service the SMTP Authentication setting is not necessary.



  • For those who use CS LoxInfo’s mail but use Internet from other service providers, should you follow step 1-4 as above to change the SMTP settings to smtp.csloxinfo.com and then click My server requires authentication.



  • For those who use foreign mail server and also use the Internet from other service providers, should you follow step 1-4 as above to change the SMTP settings to smtp.csloxinfo.com, then click My server requires authentication. Click Settings… then click Logon using and then specify mail account/password of CS LoxInfo given during your first time service application. This allows you to use CS LoxInfo mail server from anywhere.





Setting up SMTP Configurations for Microsoft Outlook 2003

  1. Click menu Tools, then E-mail Account…



  1. On the following step, choose View or change existing e-mail accounts, then click next.



  1. On E-mail account window, choose e-mail account profile you want to change then click Change….



  1. On Internet E-mail Settings (POP3), verify if Outgoing mail server setting if it is smtp.csloxinfo.com . If it is foreign SMTP server, change to smtp.csloxinfo.com then click Next> until finish.



Setting up SMTP Authentication

SMTP Authentication setting allows you to use CS LoxInfo’s SMTP server from anywhere in case you use the internet from several service provider or when you are abroad. If you only use CS LoxInfo’s internet service the SMTP Authentication is not necessary



  • For those who use CS LoxInfo’s mail and also use Internet from other service providers, should you follow step 1-4 as above to change the SMTP settings to smtp.csloxinfo.com. Click More settings…, click Outgoing Server tab and choose My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.



  • For those who use foreign e-mail server and also use Internet from other service providers, should you follow step 1-4 as above to change the SMTP settings to smtp.csloxinfo.com. Click More settings…, click Outgoing Server tab and choose My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Furthermore, click Settings… then lick Logon using and then specify mail account/password of CS LoxInfo given during your first time service application. This allows you to use CS LoxInfo mail server from anywhere.



Setting up SMTP Configurations for Microsoft Outlook 2007

  1. Start Microsoft Outlook 2007.

  2. Click Tools menu, then Accounts Settings….



  1. On Account Settings, click Account profile that you would like to make change then click Change or you can double click on the Account profile.



  1. On Internet E-mail account settings, verify if the SMTP setting is smtp.csloxinfo.com. If it is correct, click OK. If it is not, change it to “smtp.csloxinfo.com”. If you use many service providers or you are roaming user, should you follow the SMTP Authentication setting in the following steps.

SMTP Authentication setting allows you to use CS LoxInfo’s SMTP server from anywhere in case you use the internet from several service providers or when you are abroad. If you only use CS LoxInfo’s internet service the SMTP Authentication is not necessary



  • For those who use CS LoxInfo’s mail and also use Internet from other service providers , should you follow step 1-4 as above to change the SMTP settings to smtp.csloxinfo.com and then click My server requires authentication and Use the same setting as my incoming mail server and then OK.



  • For those who use foreign e-mail server and also use Internet from other service providers, should you follow step 1-4 as above to change the SMTP settings to smtp.csloxinfo.com. Click More settings…, click Outgoing Server tab and choose My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Furthermore, click Settings… then lick Logon using and then specify mail account/password of CS LoxInfo given during your first time service application. This allows you to use CS LoxInfo mail server from anywhere.



Setting up SMTP Configuration for Eudora

  1. Click Tools then Options…



  1. Click Getting Start and verify if the SMTP Server (Outgoing) was set as smtp.csloxinfo.com. If it’s not, change it to smtp.csloxinfo.com.



  1. In the case that you use other service providers than CS LoxInfo or you are roaming user, should you click on [ / ] Allow authentication then click OK.




Authentication option in Eudora does not SMTP server in which user name is different from incoming server. If you use foreign SMTP server, only smtp.csloxinfo.com without Authentication option is only recommended.


Setting up SMTP Configurations for Windows Live Mail

  1. Right click on the Serer/Account profile then choose Properties.



  1. On the server properties, check if SMTP Server (Outgoing) is smtp.csloxinfo.com or not. If it is foreign SMTP, change it to smtp.csloxinfo.com.



Setting up SMTP Authentication

SMTP Authentication setting allows you to use CS LoxInfo’s SMTP server from anywhere in case you use the internet from several service provider or when you are abroad. If you only use CS LoxInfo’s internet service the SMTP Authentication is not necessary

Setting up SMTP Configurations for Thunderbird

  1. Click on Tools and choose Account Setting…



  1. Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) profile and then Edit.



  1. Verify if the Server Name is smtp.csloxinfo.com or not. If it is foreign SMTP server, change it to smtp.csloxinfo.com, then Ok.



Setting up SMTP Authentication

SMTP Authentication setting allows you to use CS LoxInfo’s SMTP server from anywhere in case you use the internet from several service provider or when you are abroad. If you only use CS LoxInfo’s internet service the SMTP Authentication is not necessary



For those who use CS LoxInfo’s mail and also use the Internet from other service providers, should you follow step 1-3 as above to change the SMTP settings to smtp.csloxinfo.com and then put a check on “Use name and password”, enter e-mail address from CS LoxInfo and then click OK.



Setting up SMTP Configurations for Mac OSX Mail

  1. Start Mac OSX Mail

  2. Click Mail menu and choose Preference…



  1. Click @Account and Server settings….



  1. Making sure if the Outgoing Mail Server is smtp.csloxinfo.com. If it is foreign SMTP server, replace with smtp.csloxinfo.com.



Setting up Authentication

SMTP Authentication setting allows you to use CS LoxInfo’s SMTP server from anywhere in case you use the internet from several service provider or when you are abroad. If you only use CS LoxInfo’s internet service the SMTP Authentication is not necessary.


From the Authentication, choose Password from drop-down menu and type CS Loxinfo’s Mail User name and Password as provided during membership subscription. This allows you to get authenticated and use CS LoxInfo mail server for sending e-mail from anywhere.
