NORTH PUTNAM COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION
NINE HUNDRED THIRTY-NINTH MEETING
The members of the Board of School Trustees of the North Putnam Community School Corporation held their Nine Hundred Thirty-Ninth (939) Meeting, Special Session, Monday, September 10, 2007, 7:00 PM, at the North Putnam Community School Corporation Administration Office, 300 North Washington Street, Bainbridge, IN 46105.

Superintendent present: Murray F. Pride
Administrative Assistant absent: Kevin Emsweller
Attorney, absent: Gene Hostetter
President Dale McGaughey called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
PUBLIC HEARING:
President McGaughey opened the public hearing. Superintendent Pride stated that the budget had been properly advertised and that it is our legal responsibility to conduct a public hearing in regards to the Budget, Capital Projects Fund and the 10-Year Bus Replacement Plan.
1. Public Hearing on the proposed Budget was opened by President McGaughey
There being no comments or questions from patrons or board members, Superintendent Pride recommended the Budget Hearing be closed. Debbie Sillery motioned to close the budget hearing as recommended by Superintendent Pride. Carl Blau seconded the motion and it carried by a vote of six (6) ayes and zero (0) nays.
2. Public Hearing on the proposed Capital Projects Fund was opened by President McGaughey
There being no comments or questions from patrons or board members, Superintendent Pride recommended the public hearing on the proposed Capital Projects Fund be closed.
Debbie Sillery motioned to close the Capital Projects Fund hearing as recommended by Superintendent Pride. Jon Buser seconded the motion and it carried by a vote of six (6) ayes and (0) nays.
3. Public Hearing on the proposed 10-Year Bus Replacement Plan was opened by President McGaughey.
There being no comments or questions from patrons or board member, Superintendent Pride recommended the hearing on the 10-Year Bus Replacement Plan be closed. Debbie Sillery motioned to close the hearing on the 10-Year Bus Replacement Plan as recommended by Superintendent Pride. Mark Fordice seconded the motion and it carried by a vote of six (6) ayes and zero (0) nays.
Superintendent Pride expressed condolences to the family of Lora Haskell. Mrs. Haskell, a Middle School teacher, passed away Saturday in an automobile accident. Superintendent Pride informed the Board that counselors and volunteer ministers were available to students and staff and that the FCA had led a memorial service in her honor.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the board, Jon Buser motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 PM. Mark Fordice seconded the motion and it carried by a vote of six (6) ayes and zero (0) nays.
