Leucopleurus acutus : H only

Orcinus orca : Forms fossa in petrosal.

Brachydelphis holotype : Not certain but seems to be the case.
Character 269 :

Leucopleurus acutus : F and H

Grampus griseus : Medial side is much more anterior.

Pliopontos 931 : Not pronounced.

Pliopontos littoralis 953 : Not pronounced.
Character 270 :

Grampus griseus : Actually diverge.

Pseudorca crassidens : Actually diverge

Globicephala macrorhynchus : Actually diverge.

Orcinus orca : In F and I actually diverge while G is between state 0 and 1.
Character 271 :

Leucopleurus acutus : F only

Grampus griseus : This and next character based on F, G, H but not E.

Pseudorca crassidens : A and C.

Platanista gangetica : A and B

Ninoziphius platyrostris : The groove is actually absent but the steep step in the thickness of the involucrum is present.
Character 272 :

Leucopleurus acutus : F only

Pseudorca crassidens : A and C.

Orcinus orca : Could not be scored in F.

Platanista gangetica : A and B
Character 273 :

Leucopleurus acutus : F and H
Character 274 :

Leucopleurus acutus : This and next character based on F and H.
Character 275 :

Ninoziphius platyrostris : Posterior third is concave but anterior 2/3rds is convex, so coded as convex.
Character 277 :

Leucopleurus acutus : Very big.

Orcinus orca : J and K.

Ninoziphius platyrostris : Dorsal is probably absent.
Character 278 :

Orcinus orca : J and K.
Character 279 :

Leucopleurus acutus : Arches are fused, not centra.

Globicephala macrorhynchus : C has state 4, E and F have state 5.

Orcinus orca : J and K.
Character 280 :

Leucopleurus acutus : Appears to be true polymorphism. 15 sets of ribs in J, 14 sets in H.

Pseudorca crassidens : Based on F, which has 15 ribs total.

Grampus griseus : Based on F and J.

Globicephala macrorhynchus : Based on ribs, 10 thoracics in C, E, and F.

Orcinus orca : Based on 22 ribs (both sides) in J.

Pliopontos littoralis 953 : I think the 3rd is missing, possibly the 4th too. There are one or two likely missing from the end. Given that 10 are preserved, this gives a count up to 14 and no less than 12.
Character 281 :

Leucopleurus acutus : 5 in J and H.

Pseudorca crassidens : Based on F and G, which have 11 double-headed and 4 single.

Grampus griseus : True polymorphism. There are 6 in J and 7 in F.

Globicephala macrorhynchus : In C there are 13 double and 7 single (interpret that one vertebrae differs on each side), E has 12 double and 8 single, F has 10 double and 10 single. There are totals and imclude ribs on both sides.

Orcinus orca : Based on J. From both sides, 14 ribs have two heads and 8 have 1.

Pliopontos littoralis 953 : Ambiguity. There are 10 double headed ribs and 8 single headed ribs. Divided by 2 for each side, this means 5 vertebrae with 2 articulations and 4 with one. However, there are between 12 and 14 thoracics. This means that there are between 5 and 10 vertebrae with double articulations.
Character 282 :

Leucopleurus acutus : J only.

Globicephala macrorhynchus : C and F only.

Orcinus orca : J.
Character 283 :

Orcinus orca : J.

Platanista gangetica : A
Character 287 :

Leucopleurus acutus : 19 lumbars in J,

Pseudorca crassidens : 8 or 9 in F. Need to corroborate.

Grampus griseus : Some lumbars and caudals are very similar. 17 in F and J.

Globicephala macrorhynchus : C= 13 lumbars, F has 14, E has 12.

Orcinus orca : 6 lumbars based on J.

Pliopontos littoralis 953 : 9 or 10 are preserved but some are missing. True number could be another 5 more.
Character 288 :

Leucopleurus acutus : In J there are 38 caudals.

Pseudorca crassidens : I count 15 or 16 but I do not know if the vertebral column is complete. Need to corroborate coding.

Grampus griseus : Hard to say but seem polymorphic. I counted 32 caudals in J and 30 in F.

Globicephala macrorhynchus : 24 caudals in C, 28 in E, 23 in F.

Orcinus orca : 18 caudals are observed but at least 4 more should be present. Based on J.
