As a convenience to our customers, the software media for this product includes Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 installation software.  Windows SharePoint Services is a component of Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 R2. Customers’ use of Windows SharePoint Services is governed by the license terms for their licensed copies of Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 R2.

⁷⁰ Search Server 2008

Migration path for Office SharePoint Server 2007 for Search customers enrolled in upgrade protection

Customers with any edition of Office SharePoint Server 2007 for Search (MOSSFS) enrolled in upgrade protection coverage (Upgrade Advantage/Software Assurance/Enterprise Agreement (UA/SA/EA)) as of April 1, 2008 are eligible to upgrade those licenses to Search Server 2008.  For each qualifying MOSSFS 2007 license of any edition, the customer will be deemed to have one Search Server 2008 license.  Customers’ use of Search Server under this offer must be in place of use of their licensed copies of MOSSFS.  Customers’ right to use Search Server 2008 is evidenced by this product condition note and evidence of their corresponding licenses and Software Assurance for MOSSFS 2007.  A customer’s right to use Search Server 2008 software under this grant is subject to the terms and conditions of its volume licensing agreement.  That right expires upon the expiration or termination of the right to use MOSSFS 2007 under the corresponding qualifying MOSSFS 2007 licenses.  Upon expiration of SA coverage on the MOSSFS 2007 licenses, the customer may renew SA for the granted Search Server 2008 licenses. 

⁷¹ SharePoint Online Deskless Worker (User SL)

Despite anything to the contrary in customers’ license agreements, qualified users do not include users licensed for SharePoint Online Deskless Worker.

Subscription licenses for BPOS and its components sold under CASA may be acquired on an Institution wide or non-Institution wide basis.  Subscription licenses must be licensed on a per User basis.  If additional User Subscription Licenses are required to access BPOS or its components mid-term, an equal number of User Subscription Licenses must be ordered.

SQL Server 2008 Enterprise is available for multiple platforms (32 bit, 64 bit and Itanium). Customers licensed for SQL Server 2008 Enterprise may install and use the software on any platform subject to the product use rights.

The next version of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise edition is SQL Server 2008 Enterprise and the next version of SQL Server 2005 CAL is SQL Server 2008 CAL.

⁷⁴ SQL Server 2008 Standard and Standard Processor License

SQL Server 2008 Standard is available for multiple platforms (32 bit and 64 bit). Customers licensed for SQL Server 2008 Standard may install and use the software on any platform subject to the product use rights.

⁷⁵ SQL 2008 Workgroup, Client Add on, and Workgroup CAL

SQL Server 2008 Workgroup is available for multiple platforms (32 bit and 64 bit). Customers licensed for SQL Server 2008 Workgroup may install and use the software on any platform subject to the product use rights.

The next version of SQL Server 2005 Workgroup edition is SQL Server 2008 Workgroup and the next version of SQL Server 2005 Workgroup CAL is SQL Server 2008 Workgroup CAL.

⁷⁶ System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2

The next version of System Center Configuration Manager 2007 is System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2.

System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 requires System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 management licenses, or System Center Configuration Manager 2007 management licenses with active Software Assurance coverage on or after October 1, 2008.
