Business Analyst

Project involved being part of a team tasked with maintaining the SMg3 (Retail) platform, an application used for credit card decisioning. This is application is used to create or modify credit policies for clients based on client’s credit risk analysis, credit bureau data, FICO, JANUS scores and a host of wish list attributes.



Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinated, initialized and facilitated Joint Application Development sessions for business requirement gathering and analysis.

  • Co-ordinated, initialized and facilitated sprint planning sessions, story grooming session with product owner and developers.

  • Created and recorded user stories and scenarios of business processes by carrying out JAD sessions with intent owners and developers.

Project involved developing an application known as Modify Account Composition (MAC). This tool was a web based application to adjust the target asset allocation, investment composition based on client’s credit risk analysis within current business risk model. Create a system to reallocate the assets in the portfolio to meet the risk adjustment requirement given a certain tolerance level.



Responsibilities:

  • Analyzed Business Requirements and developed use cases of business processes and stakeholder interactions.

  • Collected high level of requirement gathering by interviewing various stakeholders including investment bankers, fund managers to achieve basic information and to narrow down further requirements.

Barclays Capital specializes advisors is an investment management company dealing with extensively in International Equity & Treasury Management, Industry Analysis, Fixed Income Management and Municipal Bond Management. The project was to interact with portfolio Managers and Analysts to work on Equity Valuation, perform Risk- Premium calculations & Required Return calculation using numerous Equity Valuation models.



Responsibilities:

  • Instrumental in performing International Equity Valuation processes to determine Absolute & Relative performance measurement of Equity securities.

  • Instrumental in performing day to day management of investments, including the monitoring of endowment portfolio, execution of approved buy/ sell transactions, and regular cash and investment account maintenance.

For more than 25 years, Scottrade has been a leader in technology, customer service and in value in the stock brokerage industry. Scottrade introduced a newly redesigned Web site featuring flexible detachable trading solution which allowed their customers to view real time quotes and place online trades quickly from anywhere on the Internet. The goal of this project was to interface with fixed income trading module and other trading modules.



Responsibilities:

  • Evaluated the amount of efforts and resources needed to design, implement and test the application; Gathered and documented the business and functional requirements from various teams and stakeholders.

  • Acted as a liaison between the development, testing and management group and collaborated with the technical team to create technical specifications.

  • Developed both QA and UAT test cases and test scripts for both external and internal agents and performed QA Testing. Documented and discussed QA test results with Developers and business units.

Deloitte is a global professional service firm. It provides audit, tax, consulting, enterprise risk and financial advisory services. The project involved development of a new activity tracking tool for the Deloitte Intelligence Department, a discipline within R&D. The tool would allow effective tracking of RFPs and productivity, collaboration between R&D disciplines.



Responsibilities:

  • Worked closely with the Project Manager and contributed to the definition of scope, preparation of work plans and definition of business requirements.

  • Gathered requirements through interviews with key business users within R&D and established a business analysis methodology based on the RUP (Rational Unified Process).

  • Performed extensive requirement analysis, including data analysis and gap analysis using the information from the interviews.

  • Assisted project managers in the development of weekly and monthly status reports, documented process flows, policies and procedures.
