Thursday, February 13, 2014, the Prague-based Music City Club hosted the third basic round

On Thursday, February 13, 2014, the Prague-based Music City Club hosted the third basic round of the fifth installment of metal bands contest MetalGate Massacre, which offered the clash of the next quartet of competing bands, composed of the death-black metal band Draco Hypnalis from Zlín, the Prague-based metalcore-rockers Break The Rules, the post hardcore act From Day To Day from Litvínov and the metalcore-hardcore formation BreakDown of Hate from Horní Slavkov.

This time, over 100 fans came to give the bands a solid support, as well as to vote on the round winner.

Also voting was the expert committee, this time composed of Serpenth (bass guitarist of Belphegor), Bohouš Němec (journalist, Radio 1 a Radio Beat anchor), Pepa Tuháček (journalist and operator of Rocklina.cz e-zine) and, representing the layman metal fandom, Milan Rozsíval and Roman Vávra.

And the battle outcome? With 38 votes, Break The Rules took the first place. The second place went to Draco Hypnalis with 24 votes, the third to From Day To Day with 10 votes, and final fourth to BreakDown of Hate with 6 votes.

Break The Rules and Draco Hypnalis thereby advance into the semifinal leg!

Only the last fourth basic round remains from the basic leg of the contest, taking place once again on Thursday, February 27, 2014, in the Music City Club. This time, the clash is between GATE OF ILLUSIONS, FOURSQUARE, AGASSIZ and SKLEPMASTER.
