      Executive Committee reviewed letter from David Rudman regarding his resignation as President of AASF due to his other business commitments which requires more of his dedications.
      Dr. Rudman has confirmed that he does not have any disagreement with the Board and that there are no other matters relating to his resignation that need to be brought to the attention of the Board.

      B. Brezhnev proposed the candidacy of Dr. J.Kogan as Acting President of AASF and V.Zaslavsky as Acting Secretary General

      
      Listened – V.Tatarkin, M.Jideliov, V.Zaslavsky, A. Popandopoulo on the current situation and preparations for the upcoming 2011 USA Open and Pan-Am SAMBO Championships.

   Review of the AASF Invoice to FIAS to compensate expenses associated with preparation and conduct of upcoming USA SAMBO Open and Pan-Am SAMBO Championships as an official Level “A” tournament.

   M.Jideliov – Announcement of a seminar for Sambo Referees that will take place in Thessaloniki on April 8-13, 2011
   

2. 
   Calendar of tournaments for 2011:
   Listened – A.Kenis, A.Popandopoulo, V.Zaslavsky, F.Sverdlin, V.Tatarkin, J.Kogan
   General proposition is to promote each club to hold an “Open Mat” tournament at least once a year. Everyone agreed that support/participation of other clubs is absolutely necessary to succeed in this initiative.
   So far agreed on the following calendar:
   - Universal Combat Sambo Club / March (/J.White)
   - USA Open and Pan-Am championships – May 7-8 (/AASF)
   - PA State Judo and Sambo Championship – May 22 (/A.Kenis)
   - MA State Sambo championship – June (/A. Popandopoulo)
   
   
   
3. 
   Preparations for the upcoming 2011 US Open SAMBO Championship:
   
   1. 
      For J.Kogan
      – to compile and place an order for Sambo jackets
      (for VZ to find samples of sambo shoes and shorts)
      - to finalize the contract with Rahway’s Board of Recreation
      
      
      
   2. 
      Y.Birbrayer – responsible for organizing adequate medical support during the Championship. To verify appropriate personal coverage to meet all requirements in insurance polices.
      JK to provide YB with official AASF letter for his insurance
      
      
      
   3. 
      Considering Combat Sambo as part of USA Open And Pan-Am SAMBO Championships
      – AK, JW,VT to research legalities, insurance options for state of New Jersey
      
      
      
   4. 
      About the tournament:

         Date May 8th, 2011; Time 8am-5pm

         Weight in on the day of the tournament (kids 8:30; adults 11:30)

         Entry fee for vendors $200

         All teams(clubs) have to bring a referee
