Chairman Guy Liebmann called the meeting to order.
Roll was called. Members present as the meeting began included: Billy, Brown, Duncan, Jackson, Joyner, Lindley, Martin (Steve), McPeak, Proctor, Pruett, Thompson, Turner, Wright, Vice-Chairman Martin (Scott), and Chairman Liebmann. None were absent.
HB 3207- Railroads; Railroad Revitalization Act; modifying the powers and duties of Dept. of Transportation- Representative Jett was recognized to explain the bill. A motion to strike the title was accepted by unanimous consent. A motion was made for do pass as amended by Joyner and was seconded by Billy. The following members present voted in favor: Billy, Jackson, Lindley, Pruett, Thompson, Turner, Vice-Chairman Martin (Scott), and Chairman Liebmann. The following members voted “Nay:” Duncan, Joyner, Martin (Steve), Proctor, and Wright. The motion prevailed 8-5. The bill will be reported out of committee “Do Pass As Amended-Introduced Version Amended by Full Committee.”
HB 1677- State government; clarifying language- Representative Hickman was recognized to explain the bill. A committee substitute was accepted by unanimous consent. A motion was made for do pass as amended by Billy and was seconded by Duncan. The following members present voted in favor: Billy, Brown, Duncan, Jackson, Joyner, Lindley, Martin (Steve), Proctor, Pruett, Turner, Wright, Vice-Chairman Martin (Scott), and Chairman Liebmann.
