1. Biomaterial Related Infections –

- Genotypic and phenotypic characterization of biomaterial related infections caused by Staphylococcal

strains

- The mechanisms of producing phenotypic variants such as small colony variants

- Biofilm: Chronicity and failure to be treated


2. Testing Potential Antimicrobial Agents Against Anaerobic Bacteria

- Antibiotic susceptibility test, MIC, MBC, etc …



3. Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of Community-associated MRSA.

- Production of a commercial kit to differentiate between CO-MRSA and Hospital associated MRSA HA-MRSA.




4. Prevention and Treatment of Staphylococcal infections

- Projects in Vaccine production, cytokine therapy and Phage therapy.
