MUCHEA CATTLE REPORT 12th May, 2014 Landmark reports 890 cattle sold at Muchea, Monday 12th May which included 103 calves. This represented a fall of some 1200 head due no doubt to wonderful widespread rains. Slaughter bulls improved 10-20c/kg from the get go peaking at 188c/kg. Bulls suitable for live export also lifted 10-15c/kg under added competition. Trade cattle were well down in numbers and gained 3-5c/kg. The few local store penned attracted keen interest to improve up to 10c/kg for best lines. Cow numbers of course were well down with quality generally down also, values however remained fully firm.
