  • The group suggested inviting Richard Jones from Turner Construction to deliver the presentation on “What Every General Contractor Expects from a Subcontractor”.

  • The group also suggested seeing if the Greater KC Building Trades would be interested in participating in this session as well.

The action items from the meeting are as follows:

  • Mr. Janasz will contact Mark Damon to check his availability on September 22 to deliver his session on “Fall Protection”.

  • Mr. Janasz will contact both NECA and KCBT to solicit their interest in participating in these sessions.

  • Mr. Sweeney will contact Richard Jones at Turner Construction to check his availability for participating at the contractor training session on November 2.

  • Mr. Grist will speak with Mark Banden regarding reducing his “Accountability” session to allow time for the one-hour “Fall Protection” session to be delivered by Mark Damon.

  • Mr. Janasz will distribute a reminder for the Committee’s next meeting, which is scheduled for Friday, September 2 at 8:00 a.m. at the MCA-KC office.
