MANNA HOUSE

A Residential Alcohol and Drug Recovery Program of Cross Culture Experiences, Inc. dba MISSION WACO

The Manna House program generally lasts 3- to 6- months. Our goal is provide each participant with the tools and resources to lead a life of sobriety based in the reality that each is a beloved child of God. We are a Christian “faith-based” treatment program that combines counseling, group meetings, individual learning assignments, bible studies, and the benefits of living in a household of men desiring accountability and working together for a common purpose. Site visits may be arranged prior to screening or admittance.

FINANCIAL AGREEMENT FOR NON-SCHOLARSHIP PARTICIPANTS

  1. All participants must go through the screening process and be accepted for the program prior to making financial arrangements. No fees are charged for the screening process.

  2. All participants who do not qualify for a donor-funded or grant-funded scholarship must pay the required fees as follows:

    1. $3,000.00 paid in full prior to the participant’s admit date to the Manna House program. This fee pays for the first three months of the program (approximately 90 days), and is non-refundable. $1,000.00 paid in full prior to the beginning of the fourth month. This fee pays for the fourth month (approximately 30 days), and is non-refundable. $1,000.00 paid in full prior to the beginning of the fifth month. This fee pays for the fifth month (approximately 30 days), and is non-refundable. The sixth month, if needed, is made available at no charge.

    2. Example: If John Doe is to be admitted to Manna House on May 15, then the first payment of $3000 must be made on or before May 15 and prior to his entering the program. Assuming John is still in good standing in the program and desires to continue into the fourth month, the second payment of $1000 is due on or before August 15. Same scenario for the fifth month, with the third payment due on or before September 15. If John is still at Manna House for the sixth month, there is no charge for that month or following months. It is highly unusual for a participant to stay beyond six months.

    3. Fees provide for: basic food and lodging, program materials, program staff time, program transportation. Other material or physical needs (i.e. clothing, prescription medications, non-program transportation, etc.) for the participant may be provided by non-profits, institutions or agencies in the Waco area, or the participant’s family or friends as approved by Manna House staff.

    4. No money is accepted at Manna House or by Manna House staff. All fees are paid to Mission Waco main office at 1315 N. 15th Street, Waco, TX 76707, 254-753-4900. Make checks payable to Mission Waco (returned check fee $25). A receipt will be provided for each payment. No fees may be counted as charitable contributions. Donations above the specified fees are not required at all, but are welcomed and helpful for the on-going work of Manna House and other Mission Waco programs.

  3. All participants must abide by the Manna House Cardinal Rules. If a participant is discharged for breaking a Cardinal Rule the person cannot reapply for one year. No fees are refunded if a participant is discharged for breaking a Cardinal Rule; however the participant may reapply during the 12th month after the discharge and resume the program if accepted back in to the Manna House program. If the person does not reapply during the 12th month after the discharge, all fees are forfeited. It is solely the decision of Manna House staff and the Treatment Team regarding when a participant is discharged for breaking a Cardinal Rule or when/if a participant is accepted back into the Manna House program. The Cardinal Rules may be changed or amended at the discretion of the Manna House staff and Treatment Team, and all current participants will be notified in writing of any changes. The Cardinal Rules are as follows:

If the person does not reapply during the 12th month after the discharge, all fees are forfeited. It is solely the decision of Manna House staff and the Treatment Team regarding when/if a participant is accepted back into the Manna House program.

  6. If a participant successfully completes the Manna House program and is accepted into Mission Waco’s Recovery Program Transitional House (“The Lighthouse”), there is a separate fee schedule for that program which will be discussed with the participant prior to being accepted.
