FIRST CIRCULAR

Dear Colleagues,

The Organizing Committee of the International Scholarly Conference Challenges of Psycholinguistics and Psychology of Speech welcomes and invites all scholars and teachers interested in the area of Psycholinguistics to participate in the work of the conference to be held from May, 16 till May, 17, 2014.

The conference sites are Lesia Ukrainka East European National University in Lutsk and the University’s Sport and Health Camp Hart at the Svityaz’ Lake.

The meeting will provide an exciting opportunity to share researches with colleagues from Ukraine and from around the world, integrating basic scientific research with experiments. We hope that the meeting will attract a lot of scholars and researchers and we expect it to be a forum for intense and productive scientific collaboration.


Among the main conference topics are:

Psycholinguistics

Ukrainian, English, and Russian are working languages of the conference. All interested scholars in the area are kindly invited to submit articles to be published in the East European Journal of Psycholinguistics.

The texts submitted for the publication should be written in English, Ukrainian, or Russian.

The article should be sent by March, 15, 2014 to the conference e-mail psycholing2014@gmail.com. Don’t forget to attach a file with your first and last names (in three languages), title of the article (in three languages); place of work, scientific degree, position, contact phone and fax number, postal and electronic addresses. After consideration of proposals the Organizing Committee will send an official invitation. The editorial board will be responsible for the publication reserving the right of requesting the author(s) for modifications.

The conference fee is 35 Euros and is paid on the spot. The amount covers coffee breaks, publication of the article, transport, and other services.


Guidelines for authors

The editorial board of East European Journal of Psycholinguistics invites you to send the paper you want to present at the conference for publishing in the Journal. All papers are to be submitted as MS Word file. The editorial board will review the papers and inform the author(s) about any decision. Only papers in Ukrainian, English, and Russian will be accepted. The originals must meet the following requirements:

FORMAT /LENGTH

The original must be in version similar or higher than Word 97. The recommended length is 10 pages including references, A4 paper format, with 2,5 cm for upper, lower and  left margins, 1 cm for right margins, observing 1.5 space between lines and with Times New Roman font type, with a 14 point body. 

TITLE- AUTHOR’S IDENTIFICATION

The first page must include author(s) name, affiliation, e-mail. It should be written in bold, centered, Times New Roman, 14 point body, e.g. Petro Smith, Lesya Ukrainka East European National University, petroalsmith@ukr.net. Below goes the capitalized and centered title of the article in bold.

ABSTRACT /KEY WORDS

Each paper should include three brief abstracts in English, Ukrainian, and Russian. Each of them should contain 150-200 words. For abstracts in Ukrainian or Russian, the Editors may assist upon request. The abstracts should be written in italics with a 10 point body. Also 5-7 key words should be included at the end of each abstract.

TEXT

Quotations in the text should be as follows: According to Gilberg, Warr [1; 3], where 1 and 3 mean the first and the third position in the literature, while [1, 3] means the first position in the literature and number of page with quotation. Comments and notes should be included in footnotes. Any examples should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. The article should contain the following parts: introduction / background of the issue; objectives; methods; the study; discussion and results; conclusions.



REFERENCES

References should come at the end of the paper. They should be written according to the APA norms (http://www.apastyle.org/) with a 10 point body and in alphabetic order. The Ukrainian and Russian references should be transcribed in Latin letters only:
