Introduction

Getting Started

  • Before contacting E 9-1-1 System Administration, contact must be made with a Verizon Account Representative in order to establish a business relationship with Verizon.

  • Each local service provider must register with the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) to establish a company identifier. The telephone number to call to obtain a (NENA) company ID is 1-800-332-3911 or 202-466-4911. You can register on line at http://www.nena.org

  • Obtain Internet Explorer and an internet connection as this is how you will access the Verizon E9-1-1 Systems.

  • Obtain a copy of the appropriate User Guide from E9-1-1 System Administration.

  • The E 9-1-1 records that a carrier transmits to Verizon need to be entered in a database by using software such as Microsoft Access. Microsoft EXCEL is not acceptable because the data that is transmitted is not formatted properly.

  • Verizon uses modified NENA 2 data requirements for file transfer. There are mandatory field requirements as shown in the NENA 2 Section of this Guide.

  • In order to obtain access to the Verizon E911 Electronic Interface to transmit, update and maintain your customer records in the Verizon E911 Database, please have your Verizon Account Manager contact the Verizon E911 System Administration Group by completing the form below and forwarding as indicated. An electronic version of the login form is available by contacting e911.system.admin@verizon.com.

  • The Verizon Corporate Account Manager will forward the customer’s completed User ID/Access Request Form (see below) to: e911.system.admin@verizon.com.

  • Once the Verizon Account Manager has contacted the Verizon E911 System Administration Group, a member of that group will contact the customer to work with you on obtaining access to the Portal.

  • A copy of this guide can also be found on the Verizon Wholesale E911 Website: http://www22.verizon.com/wholesale/local/E911/enhanced-9-1-1.html
