WEATHER CONDITIONS DURING THE EVENT
General weather conditions during the event and comments about the date of the event				4		Good to play beach volleyball, max 25 degrees, light wind and not hot sunny day. Regarding the date of the event, just next week after the official date of end of the season.
SPECTATOR ATTENDANCE
Total spectator attendance				4		4 September – first competition day – max: 600 spectators and total per day approximately 1000 5 September - second competition day – max: 500 spectators and total per day approximately 900 More people for Ukrainian matches, they were really enthusiastic about their teams, men and women.
VENUE AND EQUIPMENT
Venue / courts layout					5	The location of the venue is very nice. It is located on a public beach with a very nice view from the high promenade to the courts and close to the sea (10 m to the venue)
Sand Quality					5	Beach sand very clean, no shells, no rock, very safety for beach volleyball.
Equipment			3			The promoter received Mikasa equipment and for this reasons they cancel order for other court equipment to have a good alternative like reserve one. Mikasa equipment, special court lines and net need to be improved. The posts from the local organizer need to be changed with some modern ones.
Balls					5	The number according with the regulation.

STAFF PERFORMANCE
Refereeing overall performance				4		3 International and 1 candidate referee overall performance – good 4 Local referee overall performance - sufficient The local referees need to understand minimum basic English language to be part of an international event.
Court Personnel overall Performance					5	They made a very good and hard job. Only the line judges need to improve, because it was apparent that they didn’t have experience. The court personnel involved in this event: 6 scorers, 6 line judges, 4 scoreboard operator, 18 ball kids, 12 rakers and 4 court managers.
COMPETITION FORMAT
Number of matches played				4		The total number of matches was: 24 plus two golden sets. Men qualification/semifinals – 7 matches plus one golden set, women qualification/semifinals – 7 matches, Men final – 6 matches, women final - 7 plus one golden set. Because of the forfeit of CZE 1 team (injury) in the men’s final were played only one match which was not good for audience.
BVIS (Beach Volleyball Information System)
BVIS staff, including IT computer professional support				4		The BVIS operator was changed because of his English knowledge and because he was involved also in other jobs for this event. Finally the BVIS operator was doing a good job.

Performances
Promoter					5	The promoter staff, 15 people doing a very hard and very good job for there first international beach volleyball event. We see there experiences to organize different other events.
Status of the National team program and global performance of the hosting country teams				4		They took 3^rd place for both genders.
Global technical performance of the athletes				4		Not all the countries sent their best ranked teams, but the matches were strong enough to give a strong power to this kind of event like Olympic qualification. Some matches and some pools were enough equilibrate to have spectacularly rallies and matches. Because of the Golden Set in men’s semifinal and in the women’s final the winner of the pool was not known till the last point which was really exiting.
TV BROADCASTING
TV Host Broadcaster (if any)						Part of the games were recorded only for some news and report. No live matches. A lot of interviews.

Media Plan implementation				4		The media plan includes the local and national promotions, news, and report. They cover the entire media field, newspaper, TV, radio. No live broadcast.
Look of the venue				4		The layout of the venue was very nice. The layout of the courts was generally good. The two competition courts in the same arena (around with tribune for approximately 2100 spectators), one main court, like center court with one row of panels according with the rules and other one in a distance according with the rules to the central one. On the area was a second row of the panels part of the arena (2 meters high) which remained from the other events so was not in concordance with first row of panels and the first row of panels was too close to the second row to make it completely visible.
Promotional material Flyers, Posters, etc. (if any)					5	Part of the materials was produce without complete logo but after the CEV give the final layout and new title of the competition “ European Continental Beach Volleyball Cup” the material like brochures, posters, bags, T-shirts, caps, personalize CD with competition layout for all participants, officials; small gifts were reprinted to be according with the new title and layout.
Entertainment (if any)					5	Beach and players party with barbeque on the beach bar “Martinika”.
ACCOMMODATION PLAN: Board and Lodging, Transportation,
Board & Lodging					5	All delegations and officials have accommodation and part of the meals in new and nice 3* hotel will all the facilities; big and nice meeting rooms for preliminary and technical meeting, meeting rooms for referee clinic, restaurants; 5 min to the venue by bus/car. The lunch in the days of competition meals for everyone was at the venue, very easy and facile for players, referees, organizer staff and officials.
Transportation					5	One mini bus for teams and referee was scheduled every 30 minutes between hotel and venue for competition and for training section. One mini bus/ small car was use for team /referee transportation between airport and hotel on arriving and departure day . For TS and RD small car was available every time.
MEDICAL SERVICES
Medical facilities and services				4		Medical and massage staff on the venue plus ambulance with all the facility inside.

GENERAL IMPRESSION AND REMARKS

Positive:

For the first kind of event the promoter doing a very hard job to fulfill all the obligations which was really appreciated. The organizer staff didn’t have any experiences to organize such an event but they have experience to organize events in general which helps a lot the successful of this special event.

The organizer build 2 competitions court and other 3 courts for training and two of the training ones can easily transform in competition ones because they have also some small tribune. The area for beach volleyball have really a lot of facility for beach volleyball which is really good for this sport and also for this part of the country, the most popular beach place of Ukraine.

Negative:

It is difficult to have an international event with local referees who don’t have any English knowledge.

Just before the event the tourist season was finished so no tourist on the venue, only the local spectators.

RECOMMENDED IMPROVEMENTS

They can organize other international events because the location is really nice and property for beach volleyball events, the organizer staff is professional and we can see that they have experience to organize events and particularly sport events. After discussion with the promoter they want to organize next phase of this Olympic qualification and some junior events in the same location.

To organize the next events in the season time, to have the possibility to have more spectators, especially the tourist ones.

To organize a lot of gifts for spectators and promo games, etc. to attract more spectators on the tribune.

To create for next events a separated main arena with only the main court inside not with to court like in this events.

To work on the details which gives to the general image of the events a more professional overview, according with the importance of the event, like Olympic qualification.

For National federation to be more involved and to help the promoter special in technical part of this kind of event (including referee matters).
