MARIE CLAIRE

Currently a columnist for artnet.com and Contributing Editor at Marie Claire, Joyce Corrigan served as the Marie Claire’s Senior Editor at Large and Chief Copywriter from July 2006 through March 2008. In addition to writing all fashion copy, she launched and wrote the monthly fashion feature “Designer Dossier” which marked the debut interviews of the likes of Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani, David Yurman and Donna Karan in Marie Claire. She also edited and wrote the annual Luxe Guide supplement and helped launch the style/entertaining feature “TV Dinner”. Her fragrance story “Scent of an Icon” won Marie Claire’s first FIFI Award in 2008. In addition to her print work, Joyce made regular TV appearances as MC’s style expert on Good Morning America, Fox News, CBS and MSNBC. She was key player on two reality shows VH1’s “The Shot” (about fashion photographers) and Style Network’s “Running in Heels” (about Marie Claire)


She has published two books for them Marie Claire’s Outfit 911: Fabulous Fixes for Every Fashion Emergency [2012] and Marie Claire’s Dress Skinny: Perfecting Your Style, Flattering Your Figure and Looking Fabulous [2014]
She joined Marie Claire after a decade as New York correspondent for Conde Nast Traveller (UK). During that time, she also regularly contributed to Italian VANITY FAIR, British ELLE and the SUNDAY TIMES MAGAZINE of London Between 2003 and 2005 she was a producer on FOOD NETWORK’s “Food Nation with Bobby Flay” which was consistently the network’s top-rated show.
Corrigan spent 1987--1991 in London as Joint Deputy Editor of London’s SUNDAY TIMES MAGAZINE where she launched and edited three semi-annual style supplements: “Women’s Fashion”, “Men’s Style” and “House Style”. For the main magazine, she regularly commissioned features on art and culture, including profiles of Donald Trump, David Rockefeller, Calvin Klein, the veterans of the Paris 68 student riots and the pioneering black entrepreneurs of South Africa. The Sunday Times Magazine won the British Magazine Award for General Excellence in 1989
Upon her return to New York, Corrigan served as Co-Editor in Chief of ELLE Magazine which led to stint as Fox TV’s Style Reporter and eventually producing jobs at Fox , fX and Good Morning America.
Corrigan graduated from Smith College with a BA in Comparative Literature and has produced video portraits of Smith’s outstanding alums (including Gloria Steinem, Thelma Golden and Julia Child)
She currently lives in Bedford, New York with her husband, TV director and cameraman Gary Corrigan and their son.
