B-Boys
Insurance is a problem (C&S Regulation 4.1.3.l) as we cannot cover a club ‘teaching’ a dangerous activity. Contacts revised aims slightly to omit ‘teaching’.

Moved: Liam Hedge Seconded: Cassie Lutzko
CWD
-
Iran Solidarity
No cross over with Iranian Society. Club is political, and not culturally-based.

Cross over with Socialist Alternative discussed. C&S Committee acknowledged the fragmented nature of the political left, and that Resistance & SA have no crossover of Expressions of Interest.

CWD
-
PlanetUni
The committee discussed the vagueness of the aims. Current aims were considered to have too great a similarity with everything including UMSU Welfare and SALTS. The absence of a reference to their Christian connection was highlighted as a problem also. PlanetUni encouraged to change aims.

-
Volunteers for Future
Discussion of overlap with SALTS. Unsatisfactory evidence that the club was engaging in substantially different activities, or that SALTS would not be able to accommodate the interests of the Volunteers fro Future group.
Chair requests that the meeting goes ‘in camera’. Fiona Sanders and club Contacts leave.
Motion 14: That Volunteers for Future be rejected on grounds of 4.1.3.m and 4.1.3.f.
Moved: Chair
