OPTION 1 (recommended): Price for the package in double bedroom with breakfast = 75.00 euro per person
Day 1: Depart in the afternoon. Arrival in Kalambaka and check in your hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast. Transfer by taxi to the highest monastery, open on the day of your visit. Walk to the nearest monasteries either following the footpath connecting the monasteries or walking on the asphalt road. When you finish with your visits meet the taxi driver to take you back to your hotel. Have lunch in a local restaurant and get ready for departure for Athens at 17.30

OPTION 2: Price for the package in double bedroom with dinner and breakfast = 85.00 euro per person
Day 1: Morning departure. Arrival in Kalambaka midday and check in your hotel. Walk round the old town of Kalambaka with the Byzantine Dormition of Mother Mary church. Back to the hotel for dinner. Overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast. Transfer by taxi to the highest monastery, open on the day of your visit. Walk to the nearest monasteries either following the footpath connecting the monasteries or walking on the asphalt road. When you finish with your visits meet the taxi driver to return to your hotel. Have lunch in a local restaurant and get ready for departure for Athens at 17.30

OPTION 3: (Not recommended). Price for the package = 58.00 euro per person
Day 1: Depart in the morning or midnight. Arrival in Kalambaka. Meet the taxi driver at the railway station and leave immediately for the highest monastery, open on the day of your visit. Walk to the nearest monasteries either following the footpath connecting the monasteries or walking on the asphalt road. When you finish with your visits meet the taxi driver to return to Kalambaka. Have a light lunch in a local restaurant and depart at 17.30 for Athens.
Price includes: Train ticket, transfer to and from the monasteries, all possible help provided in Athens, literature and CD with photos.

OPTION 4: Price for the package in double bedroom with dinner and breakfast = 115.00 euro per person

Day 3: After breakfast take the local bus to the neighbouring town of Trikala. Trikala is a beautiful city with a castle and a river running in the middle of the city. Return to Kalambaka to take the train for Athens at 17.30
Price includes: Train ticket, 2 nights accommodation in double bedroom, 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts, transfer to/from the monasteries, all possible help provided in Athens & Kalambaka, literature and CD with photos.

Certain days the monasteries are closed, to allow the monks / nuns to spend some time in prayer and other sacred work without tourists staring over their shoulders. Check the list with the working days and hours that we have in our website and if possible, reconfirm our information.
The highest monastery, the so called “Grand Meteoron” has been converted into a museum. Try and include it in your plans. There are hundreds of steps leading to the monasteries. The “Grand Meteoron” has 147 steps.
The Monastery of St. Stephen is the most accessible, while the Holy Trinity is the least accessible, requiring a long hike, and this is the reason that not too many people visit it.
CONDITIONS
- Our price includes the taxi transfer from the hotel to the monasteries, and the transfer back to your hotel.
(The time you visit the monasteries the taxi will return to Kalambaka and will come back to pick you up).

- 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid 7 days before the departure for Kalambaka.
- If the tickets are issued during the last 7 days before the departure, 5.00 euro p.p. extra is charged.
- The entrance fee (2 euro p.p.) is NOT INCLUDED and is paid in cash at the entrance of the monasteries.
- When visiting the monasteries, remember to be properly dressed. For the ladies, skirts are provided.
- The transfers to/from the railway stations are NOT INCLUDED.
Please show up at least 15 minutes prior to departure time at the railway station.
In Kalambaka the hotel is located about 300 m from the railway station, while in Athens
try and choose a hotel near a metro "red line" station. The railway terminal metro station is the "Stathmos Larissis", 2 stops after "Omonia" Square, or, stay that night in a hotel near the railway station.

- Any further taxi transfer (e.g. from hotel to rail station etc) or service can be arranged at an extra cost.
