- Approved as it is.

- The minutes were distributed to all the TC members prior to the TC meeting via e-mail and approved with no additional comments.

- The total number of submitted papers was 3712 and 2716 papers were accepted.

- Regarding the MMM TC, 63 papers were submitted including 23 for the highlight

sessions. 57 papers were accepted. All the papers for the highlight sessions were

accepted.
5. The IFAC MMM Workshop, Viña del Mar, Chile, October 21-23, 2009

- The IFAC approved the Workshop. Technical Board recommended two additional

TC's, TC 4.4 Cost Oriented Automation and TC 6.1 Chemical Process Control,

be invited to co-sponsor the Workshop.

- Dr. Osvaldo A. Bascur, U.S.A., who proposed to offer his assistance in the

Workshop prior to the TC meeting (Appendix 1), was recommended as an IPC

member.

6.. The 13th IFAC MMM Symposium, Cape Town, South Africa, August 2-4, 2010

- This Symposium has been approved by the IFAC.

- There is a non-IFAC joint conference on process control organized by Prof.

Chris Aldrich.
7. The IFAC MMM Workshop, 2012

- Kazuya Asano proposed the Workshop to be held in Japan. Since there were

only seven members attended in the TC meeting, the venue was not

determined.

- Any other proposals?
8. The 14th IFAC MMM symposium, San Diego, U.S.A., 2013

- The venue was determined and Dr. Florian Kongoli will go on the procedure for the official application to the IFAC.

- Dr. Adriano Ferreira, who proposed to volunteer in MMM events (Appendix 1),

was recommended as a NOC member.
9. Free discussion on MMM TC activities

- A free discussion was held according to Appendix 1 and 2, comments from TC

and non-TC members.

- Among topics were collaborations between other TC’s and within the MMM TC,

industrial involvement and attractive events for participants outside the MMM

community. Any comments on these and other subject are welcome.

- Feasibility of the exchange programs between academia and industry proposed
