NOTES:
(1)For small repairs and areas less than 0.25 hectare Lolium perenne (Perennial Ryegrass) at the rate of 100 kg/ha can be used in place of either two seed mixes shown above.

Double the seed mix rate for the above two seed mixes for steep areas highly subject to major erosion problems and other areas that may be considered near “environmentally sensitive areas”.
(3) When seed mixes are in storage for a year or more the seed tends to have a decrease in the percentage of live seed that will germinate. Seed testing is a way of finding out what the germ rate loss is so that additional seed can be added to compensate for the loss. Without seed testing, I would guess that after the first year of storage an additional 20% should be added to the rate of application for each year following.
