WHO'S WHO IN THE HR AND OD TEAMS June - July 2014 Welcome to the HR and OD teams! Here is a brief summary of the support you can expect to receive from us, together with a table to show you who supports which specific Schools, Professional Services Directorates and support service teams. Please note that between Thursday 13th June – Wednesday 2nd July inclusive the HR Admin Office in the Lord Balerno Building will be open only between 9.00 – 10.30 and 2.00 – 3.30 each day. Outwith these hours, please phone extension 3448 or email hr@hw.ac.uk. Summary of our Services The HR Services Team is based in Lord Balerno Building. We are responsible for the issue, administration, retention and update of: Formal Offers of Employment Pre-Employment Checks Contracts of Employment Confirming changes to contracts, terms and conditions Maternity, Paternity, Adoption Matters End of Employment Matters HR Partners offer advice and support to managers and staff on all people- related matters, including: Change Management, Restructure and Redeployment Discipline Grievance HR Policy Advice, Review and Development Maternity/Paternity/Adoption/Family Matters Occupational Health Support Performance & Development Review (PDR) Performance Management Promotions and Job Evaluation Recruitment & Selection Reward & Remuneration Training and Development The Organisational Development Team (OD) is based in Lord Balerno Building We support the University achieve its strategic objectives through building staff capacity and capability. We do this by working with colleagues through the following programmes: Tailored team development programmes to develop high performing teams Working with teams and individuals undergoing significant change OD Development Programme Leadership Development Programme Pursuing Service Excellence Career coaching Staff engagement activities Staff engagement survey We also work closely with our colleagues in the Centre for Academic & Leadership Development and Equality & Diversity, who, together with HR Services and OD form the HR Development Directorate.
