Savigne, who was entitled to study in “Scuola Musicale di Milano” in 1999, completed the postgraduation program in Italy within two years. Here, she studied vocal technique with Prof.Carla Vannini, Maria Minetto and Anatoli Gusev. The opera singer, also studied repertoire with Maestro Danielo Agiman, returned to Turkey in 2001 and won the third prize in the Siemens Opera Competition. Savigne started to work as the soloist singer in Istanbul National Opera House in 2002 and since then performed as Mimì in Puccini’s Boheme, as Manon in Manon Lescaut; as Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni; as Jenufa in Janacek’s opera Jenufa; as Antonina in Donizetti’s Belisario; as Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore, as Desdemona in Otello, as Aida in Aida, as Chrysothemis in Strauss’s Elektra, as Giulietta in Offenbach’s opera Les Contes d’Hoffmann, as Zuleyha in Okan Demiris’s opera Yusuf ile Zuleyhia and as Hasanaginica in Asim Horozic’s opera Hasanaginica. She repeated her performances of Puccini’s Tosca (Tosca), Verdi’s Trovatore (Leonora) in Mersin National Opera House; and Puccini’s Manon Lescaut (Manon) in Izmir National Opera House. She gave concerts in many cities of Turkey with Bursa National Symphony Orchestra, Izmir National Symphony Orchestra, I.D.O.B Orchestra, Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Azerbaijan National Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and Pucciniano Orchestra; and in Macedonia-Skopje, Azerbaijan-Baku, Russia-Moskow (Moskow New Teatre), Italia-Milano, Sarzana (Teatro Impavidi) and Pietrasanta. She studied vocal technique and interpretation with baritone Lucinio di Montefusco, repertoire and interpretation with pianist Elisabetta di Stefano. She gave many concerts in Italian Culture Centers with Stefano, and attended many festivals as soloist. She won the third prize in “International Maria Kraya Opera Competition“ in Tirane, Albania in the year 2004; the special prize of Belvedere competition in Turkey; the first prize in “International Spiros Argiris Opera Competition“ in Sarzana, Italy, in 2007; the grand prize (Gran Pri) in “International Bulbul Vocal Competition“ in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2007. She won the award for the “best opera singer of the year” of the Lions Confederations in 2013. She had the opportunities to study with Leyla Gencer, Montserrat Caballe and Raina Kabaivanska. In the ‘Ave Maria’ concerts in 2010 she was accompanied by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London. Burcin C. Savigne continues to work as Soloist Opera Singer in Istanbul National Opera House. A.C.
