55 Assistant's Licence
r. 55
(1) An Assistant's Licence authorises a person who is the employee of the holder of a Commercial Wildlife Licence to undertake any activity authorised by the Commercial Wildlife Licence held by the employer, except taking wildlife from the wild, while engaging in conduct within the scope of his or her actual or apparent authority as an employee of that licence holder.
(2) It is a condition of every Assistant's Licence that the licence holder must—
(a) only undertake activities involving wildlife on behalf of the holder of the Commercial Wildlife Licence whose name and licence number are specified on the Assistant's Licence; and
(b) notify the Secretary in writing and return the Assistant's Licence when the licence holder ceases to be an assistant to the holder of the Commercial Wildlife Licence whose name and licence number are specified on the Assistant's Licence; and
(c) return the Assistant's Licence to the Secretary if the Commercial Wildlife Licence of the licence holder whose name and licence number are specified in the Assistant's Licence expires, is suspended or is cancelled under Part 3 of the Act.
(3) An Assistant's Licence ceases if the Commercial Wildlife Licence of the licence holder whose name and licence number are specified in the Assistant's Licence, expires, is suspended or is cancelled under Part 3 of the Act.

Part 8—Fees

For the purposes of section 22(4) of the Act the prescribed fee for a category of wildlife licence and, where the case so requires, period of time set out in Column 1 of each of the following Tables is the fee set out opposite that category and, where the case so requires, period of time in Column 2 of those Tables—

Part 10—Transitional Provisions
58 Transitional provisions

(1) A person who immediately before the commencement of these Regulations was the holder of—
(a) a Private Wildlife (Category One) Licence; or
(b) a Private Wildlife (Category Two) Licence—
is deemed to hold, subject to these Regulations, a Private Wildlife (Basic) Licence until the date on which the Private Wildlife (Category One) Licence or Private Wildlife (Category Two) Licence would have expired if the Wildlife Regulations 1992, as in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, had continued in operation.
(2) A person who immediately before the commencement of these Regulations was the holder of a Private Wildlife (Category Three) Licence is deemed to hold, subject to these Regulations, a Private Wildlife (Advanced) Licence until the date on which the Private Wildlife (Category Three) Licence would have expired if the Wildlife Regulations 1992, as in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, had continued in operation.
