Vernal pool floristic monitoring is required in years 2.3.5.6.8 and 10, and upon meeting the 10 year performance standards, years 15, 20, and every 10 years thereafter.
Vernal pool floristic data will be collected using a combination of releve and point intercept survey techniques. The point intercept will be used to record percent cover.

Monitoring will be performed on an annual basis according to the monitoring schedule. The monitored pools will be surveyed in years 3, 5, 7 and 10 for federally listed vernal pool invertebrate species. A minimum of three visits will be made each monitoring year during the wet season to sample for vernal pool fairy shrimp. Numbers of species will be estimated.
