Regulation
The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup, an international tournament for football, which is scheduled to take place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa. It will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by a nation in the Confederation of African Football, leaving the Oceania Football Confederation as the only FIFA Confederation never to have hosted the event.
SOUTH AMERICA

All 10 teams in the group play each other home and away and the top 4 teams qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa. The fifth placed team goes through a two-leg home and away play-off against the top team from the Oceania group with the winner qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa.

Brazil – Dunga

Carlos Caetano Bledorn Verri, more known as Dunga, is the actual coach of the Brazilian National team. Dunga was born in the city of Ijuí, Porto Alegre, on 31 October of 1963. Dunga is a retired football player that used to play as a defensive midfielder. He played for several clubs in Brazil (Internacional, Corinthians, Santos and Vasco da Gama), and Italy (Pisa, Fiorentina and Pescara). Played in Stuttgart-GER and Júbilo Iwata-JAP, and ended his career in Internacional, 2000. For Brazil, Dunga played 96 matches and scored 7 goals between 1987-1998, when he retired after losing the FIFA World Cup final do France. He played 3 FIFA World Cups (1990, 1994, 1998). Dunga was the captain of the champion’s team of Brazil in 1994 (World Cup).
As a coach, Dunga debut training Brazil against Norway (1-1) in august 16, 2006 , then two wins against Argentina (3-0) and Wales (2-0). Dunga has a 72% of average coaching Brazil.


Peru – Jose Del Solar
José Del Solar was born in Lima, Peru, on November 28, 1967. He is a retired football midfielder that played in Peru (San Agustín, Universitario de Deportes); Chile (Universidad Catolica); Spain (Tenerife, Salamanca, celta de Vigo, Valencia); Turkey (Besiktas), Belgium (KV Mechelen). He also played for the national team of Peru between 1986-2001 (74 matches played and 9 goals). As a coach, Jose Del Solar trained Colón de Santa Fe-ARG (won a Torneo Apertura in 2005); Sporting Cristal-PER (Champion 2005-2006) and Universidad Catolica-CHI (Runner-up 2006-2007). He started coaching Peru on august 3, 2007, by replacing Julio César Uribe.

Sergio Fabián Pezzotta is an Argentinian international top referee, born in Rosario, Santa Fe. He is one of the most severe referees in the AFA League, and tends to feel free in showing red cards when rules allow him to. He started refereeing in Argentina´s 1st division in 1999. Pezzotta´s dream is to be part of the Referee´s Staff in the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010. He is already on the 54 member shortlist, but he knows that he will have to work hard for that. Currently, his colleague Héctor Baldassi is Argentina´s top candidate to referee in the next World Cup.

Beira Rio is the stadium of Sport Club Internacional, from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul state. Its official name is José Pinheiro Borda – a portuguese citizen that was in charge of the construction of the stadium. The maxinum capaxity today of the stadium is 59.000 people, but the public record is 106.000 in 1972 (Brazil 3-3 Rio Grande do Sul squad). The first match of the Beira Rio stadium that Brazil played was friendly match against Peru, in 1969. The match ended 2-1 to Brazil (Jairzinho and Gerson; Alberto Gallardo).

Porto Alegre is a city and capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The city is known because of it is one of the most important cultural, political and economic centers of Brazil. The city is one of the most 10th populous cities of the country. Porto Alegre has two big stadiums: Beira Rio and Olimpico.
