Translator, Managing Editor, and Proofreader

  • Manages, translates, and edits books on medical topics to be published in the English language.

  • Supervises, edits, and proofreads other translators’ work.

  • Proposes topics for medical books to be published in the English language.

  • Books that I have translated or edited from June, 2006 to February, 2009:

    • The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease & Miscarriage (translated, edited)

    • The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine: Gout & Rheumatoid Arthritis (edited)

    • The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine: Menstrual Disorders II – PMS, Dysmenorrhea, & Perimenopause (edited)

    • Clinical Reasoning in Chinese Medicine (re-translated, edited)

    • The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine: Diabetes & Obesity (edited)

  • Note: Most of my “editing” work consists of checking the accuracy of other translators’ work and re-translating them, as their work is often filled with poor grammar, translation errors, and omissions due to either carelessness or extreme lack of English proficiency. The publishing house has adopted this process because of their fast-paced production schedule and a severe shortage of qualified personnel.
