MIF to XMI Conversion Utility Objective Develop a utility that can convert a MIF conformant XML document into one that conforms to the XMI as defined in the UML 2.0 specification. Presently, the data defined in MIF documents cannot be graphically represented by common-off-the-shelf UML tools. Users are restricted to using HL7 provided tools for editing MIF documents graphically. Benefits Permits users greater latitude in their choice of design and editing tools. Reduces users dependency on HL7 tools and tooling support. Usage Description The utility can be run from the command line or from a graphical user interface. Users identify the file containing the MIF document to be converted and the location where the XMI file will be written, then run the utility. |
