Duties: Want to make a difference? The Department is seeking a dedicated and motivated person to provide administrative support for the delivery of conservation programs in the West Region of South Australia. The Conservation Team Support Officer is responsible to the Regional Ecologist (West). The successful applicant will have experience in the management of financial resources, procurement and contracts; be able to prepare reports, meet deadlines, work as part of a team and communicate to a wide variety of people. A knowledge of biodiversity conservation issues is desirable. This is an exciting opportunity which will require the successful applicant to utilise their administrative and financial management skills to support the delivery of conservation initiatives on Eyre Peninsula.

Duties: The GIS Officer is responsible to the Senior GIS Officer, Marine Programs for undertaking data capture, verification, maintenance and management associated with the marine benthic survey project. The incumbent will contribute to the marine mapping program to enhance knowledge and understanding of our marine benthic environments.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: Tertiary level qualifications in GIS, Spatial Information Science or related discipline.




Special Conditions: The incumbent must be willing to work outside normal hours and travel interstate as required. A current drivers licence is required and a willingness to drive is essential.

Duties: The GIS Analyst is responsible to the Manager, Environmental Information Analysis for contributing: as a member of a multi disciplinary professional project team, to provide GIS analysis and mapping support to Biodiversity and vegetation projects; to development and maintenance of integrated corporate spatial information systems for the department; to the delivery of GIS products and services to a wide range of Portfolio, Departmental and private sector clients.




Special Conditions: Some inter and intrastate travel, overnight absences and out of hours work may be required. Environmental Information (EI) is a learning organisation. Duties: The Infrastructure and Desktop Support Officer is accountable to the Manager ICT Service Support, and reports to the Team Leader/Coordinator Infrastructure and Desktop Support for the provision of a client centred, high quality ICT support service to the Institute within DFEEST policies and standards. The officer is responsible for the effective and efficient resolution of client requests and problems including accurate logging, tracking, monitoring, and escalation, effective and efficient resolution of client requests and problems, and closure of requests. The officer is also required to assist with the effective and efficient operation of the Institute's ICT systems and security. The officer will be responsible for contributing to special projects related to ICT as required.




Special Conditions: Some out of hours work may be required. Interstate and Intrastate travel may be required. May be located at any of the Institute’s campuses as required. A flexible approach to duty hours and the taking of leave is essential. Will be required to participate in performance management.
