This parameter is used to set the transmit attenuation level between 0(dBm) and 15(dBm), in increments of 1(dBm). The resulting transmit level is between 0 and -15(dBm). This level affects all signals including modulations and DTMF tones. DTMF tones have additional control for the high and low frequencies.
Range: 0-15, corresponding to a transmit level of 0(dBm) to -15(dBm), respectively.
The following transmit levels have the indicated initial settings:
Default = 14 ( -14.5(dBm) transmit level )
parm__pump_tone_transmit_level -10(dB) 0x8000 = 32768
Note: The formula for calculating a new transmit level is the following:
Levelnew = Levelinitial * 10 ^ [ ( dBnew - dBinitial ) / 20 ]
Levelnew = Levelinitial * 10dB/20
As an example, in order to set the tone transmit level to -6(dB), set the parm__pump_tone_transmit_level to...
Levelnew = Levelinitial * 10 ^ [ ( dBnew - dBinitial ) / 20 ]
= (32768) * 10 ^ [ ( (-6) - (-10) ) / 20 ]
= 51933

MP.22 ] parm__pump_v34_transmit_level Pump V.34 Transmit Level
This parameter is used to set the transmit attenuation level between 0(dBm) and 15(dBm), in increments of 1(dBm). The resulting transmit level is between 0 and -15(dBm). This level affects all signals including modulations and DTMF tones. DTMF tones have additional control for the high and low frequencies.
Range: 0-15, corresponding to a transmit level of 0(dBm) to -15(dBm), respectively.
The following transmit levels have the indicated initial settings:
Default = 12 ( -12(dBm) for server transmit level )
parm__pump_v34_transmit_level -12(dB) 0x5110 = 20752
Note: The formula for calculating a new transmit level is the following:
Levelnew = Levelinitial * 10 ^ [ ( dBnew - dBinitial ) / 20 ]
Levelnew = Levelinitial * 10dB/20
As an example, in order to set the V.34 transmit level to -15(dB), set the parm__pump_v34_transmit_level to...
Levelnew = Levelinitial * 10 ^ [ ( dBnew - dBinitial ) / 20 ]
= (20752) * 10 ^ [ ( (-15) - (-12) ) / 20 ]
= 14691 = 0x3963
Note: Due to the details related to V.34 this parameter should not be set to levels greater than –12.0(dBm).
This parameter is used to specify the length of time that the carrier must be present before this device considers it valid and turns on RLSD. This parameter maps to the S9 parameter of many command sets.
Range:
1-255 (Units of 100 ms)
Default:
6 = 600(mS)
Derivation:
parm__dm_carrier_detect_duration = Carrier_Detect_Duration / 100(mS) ;
MP.24 ] parm__dm_carrier_loss_disconnect_duration Carrier Loss Duration
This parameter is used to specify the length of time that this device waits before hanging up after a loss of carrier. This allows for temporary carrier loss without causing the local device to disconnect. If this value is set to 255, this device functions as if a carrier is always present. This parameter maps to the S10 parameter of many command sets.
The actual interval that this device waits before disconnecting is the value in this parameter minus the value of the parameter parm__dm_carrier_detect_duration.
Range:
1 to 255 units of 100(mS)
Default:
14 = 1.4(S)
Derivation:
parm__dm_carrier_loss_disconnect_duration =
Carrier Loss Duration / 100(mS) +
parm__dm_carrier_detect_duration ;
MP.25 ] parm__dm_line_quality_monitor_mode Line Quality Monitor
This parameter controls whether or not the device will automatically monitor the line quality and request a retrain or fall back when line quality is insufficient or fall forward when line quality is sufficient.
Range:

Default: DM_LINE_QUAL_MON__RETRAIN
