Justification Narrative

In no more than 500 words below, please explain why you believe this nominee should be selected for the 2016 Mario Vargas Llosa Award.

Eligibility Requirements:

Nominee must be a full-time undergraduate student;
Nominee must have completed at least eight (8) upper-division courses total in Spanish language, literature and culture;
Nominee must be a member of Sigma Delta Pi;
Nominator must be a member of the AATSP.
The completed “Nomination Form” along with all specified supporting materials must be submitted via e-mail to delmastromp@cofc.edu by May 1, 2016. Incomplete nominations will be disqualified.

Judging Criteria

Academic performance in all upper-division courses completed;
Involvement in extra-curricular activities as related to Spanish.

The awardee will be notified prior to the July 2016 AATSP Conference.
