Serving a Meal Checklist ~ How Does This Work?

  Cook a meal at your facility, enough for approximately 120 people
  
• 
  Type of meal including a dessert is totally your choice (we can suggest if you have questions)
  
• 
  Manna’s physical address: House of Prayer Lutheran Church at 2100 Irwin Street, Aliquippa, PA 15001
  
• 
  Bring the cooked meal and dessert to House of Prayer fellowship hall (we have a full kitchen) on your date between 4:00 and 4:15 pm
  
• 
  Partners serving the meal can enter House of Prayer on the 21^st Street side. This entry brings you directly into the Fellowship Hall, which is the most direct route in which to carry in your food
  
• 
  Ready the food for serving / Warm food in oven/stove (if necessary) or whatever else you might need
  
• 
  Provide the prayer for the evening (after Manna Staff make opening announcements)
  
• 
  After welcome is given at 5:30, have someone in your group announce the dinner menu, pray, and serve your food to our guests from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  
• 
  Assist in light clean up of kitchen area after meal is served, which is made up of washing your pots and pans, light sweeping of kitchen, taking out garbage
  
• 
  Ideal number of people to bring in your team is 6 to 10 with 8 being a just about perfect number
  

• 
  All paper products including foam plates, plastic cutlery, napkins, foam or paper cups, etc.
  
• 
  All beverages and serving of those drinks to our guests
  
• 
  Serving utensils (serving spoons/forks/spatulas) for serving your food
  
• 
  Servers to deliver drinks to all guests (we ask that guests not carry drinks)
  
• 
  Opening announcements including thanking of the Manna Partner for the evening
  

• 
  Manna Guest = those coming to eat dinner. All are welcome. We do not judge need and open this ministry to all, including the hungry in body, mind, spirit, and/or the lonely
  
• 
  Manna Partner = church, civic group, social group serving the meal for the evening
  
• 
  Manna Staff = members of House of Prayer and other volunteers within this ministry
  
• 
  Meals begin to be served no earlier than 5:30 p.m. and finishes promptly at 6:30 p.m.
  
• 
  You will be out of the building by 7:00 at the latest
  
• 
  Manna thrives purely on grants and donations. Please consider Manna whenever possible
