Ameriben/National Neighborhood Night Out/Project Not My Kid Programs results: volunteers distributed 79 drug test kits to our community. Great public relations, the programs were well received overall. More venues needed for Project NMK. Contact Elisha with venue contact information.

Meridian PAL Jamboree is Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Settler’s Park. Volunteers needed for event. Contact Elisha if interested.
Red Ribbon Week 2009 – Brenda and Alison reported plans to continue with RRW program in the Meridian School District. 15 schools will be selected to participate. RRW committee met earlier to fine tune program based on evaluations from 2008 program. Volunteers are needed to assemble school packets on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at MPD.
Volunteers are also needed to distribute packets to schools on October 12th and 13th.
CEC voted to approve a $500 honorarium fee to KTVB Channel 7 to host Milton Creagh’s return to the Treasure Valley. Mr. Creagh will also be speaking at a MSD high school to be determined at a later date.
