Both competitions will be held on an outdoor stage at the corner of Mulberry and Hester Streets in the heart of Little Italy. The 4th Annual Mario Lanza Vocal Competition, to be hosted by Dominic Mantuano, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 28th/29th and the 2nd Annual Little Italy Soprano Vocal Competition, to be hosted by Christina Fontanelli will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 11th/12th. Up to 15 tenors will compete in the Mario Lanza Vocal Competition, while up to 15 sopranos will compete in the Little Italy Soprano Vocal Competition. Each contestant will perform two operatic selections on Saturday. A panel of judges will select the winner and a runner-up in each competition who will return the next day to perform in concert. The winner of each competition will receive $1,000 and the runner-up $500. If you are interested in being considered for either competition please fill out this form and return it to us no later than July 23rd, 2007 for the Mario Lanza competition and no later than August 7th, 2007 for the Little Italy Soprano competition.
