October 23, 2014 Dear Vendors and Exhibitors, On March 26th, 27th and 28th, 2015, the Latina Leadership Network (LLN) will be hosting the LLN’s annual conference. The theme this year is “Pursuing Equity in the 21st Century”. We can only accommodate 200 members at this three-day conference to be held at Ventura College, 4667 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA 93003. A reception will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The history of the Latina Leadership Network began in 1987 when a small group of Latina educators come together at a conference in Santa Barbara to share an innovative and long overdue idea. A conversation over the lack of Latina representation in the California Community College System took place and as result these women founded the Latina Leadership Network. Twenty-eight years ago, five women made it their mission to be committed to leadership development for Latinas at all levels in the California Community College System. Today LLN has grown over 1,000 members statewide and has distributed thousands of dollars to young Latina women seeking advancement through education. In addition, the organization financially supports California Community College employees through grants that provide professional development for Latina leaders. Our committee is calling on you to participate and assist in promoting the rich cultural, academic, and professional diversity found in California.
