E. All Seasons Working/Field Dress Concept

The basic uniforms of cadet members are the Working Dress (No 2 SD, No 2A SD and No 2B SD) and the Field Dress (No 3 FD, No 3A FD and No 3B FD). They comprise various core items and a number of optional items. Unless personnel are required to wear a specific order of uniform, for a particular occasion, they may choose which combination of Working Dress/Field Dress they wish to wear, provided it is authorised under these guidelines. Additionally, members are expected to show common sense in their choice of optional items in relation to climate and the work environment. The concept of an ‘all seasons’ uniform is to afford personnel a degree of flexibility and choice, and to do away with rigid seasonal changeover dates

F. Standard of Uniform

The introduction or sanctioning of any deviation from the authorised pattern of uniforms, buttons and badges or the wearing of any items not listed in the appropriate forms of uniform are forbidden.
