Greetings Fr. Felix,

Great to see the presentation on body donation. Had in fact written to you earlier on this subject. If not all, some of the information is known to people. The problem is the lack of a single point contact, a family member of the deceased could call, after collecting a death certificate from a Doctor. Can your offices as a clergy, awaken the Bishop House. Ideal would be Bishops, priests start with pledging 'body donation' to create awareness.

Thank you

Regards,
Sunny Fernandes

DO YOU?

HELLO MY FRIENDS
From my young days as a Catholic priest, I have served the society in so many

ways – teaching, preaching, helping the poor, working for social justice, educating the masses, conducting beautiful prayers and liturgies and so and so forth. I find immense happiness in doing all this for the greater glory of God. But of late, I have added another dimension to my ministry i.e. Caring for Creation. With my heavy responsibilities as a priest, it never occur to my mind, that I need to teach people to take care of the Earth, as the “place which you are standing is a holy ground” (Ex. 3:5).
I call upon all my priest colleagues and people to think in line with our beloved Pope Francis who says, “The Church is equally aware of the responsibility that each of us bring towards our world, and to the whole of creation, that we must love and protect”.
Let’s start the talk of taking care of the Mother Earth in our families, in our Small Communities, in our parish associations and Cells, in our churches, schools, institutions, in our work places, in our housing colonies, in our seminars, meetings and training sessions, and especially, as priests, from our church pulpits. We can save this Earth from the impending disaster only when every one of us learn to handle our Mother Earth with care and sensitivity.

HOPE YOU WILL SURELY AGREE WITH ME. IF YES, PLEASE SPREAD THIS NEWS TO ALL YOUR COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS BY FORWARDING THE GEM E-NEWSLETTER
