APPENDIX B

Quantitative seed dispersal networks for the eight sites in the Galápagos, visualized using the R package Bipartite 1.16 (Dormann et al. 2008). Paired native (left) and invaded (right) sites were studied in the dry and humid zones of the two most invaded islands. In each network, plants (bottom level) are dispersed by seed dispersers (top level); the width of the box for each plant, disperser and their interactions is proportional to the number of droppings containing intact seeds for that plant-animal pair. Alien plant species and their interactions are marked in black.
