| Directions to Bridgend Register Office at Ty’r Ardd
From M4 junction 36 (Sarn): Follow A4061 signposted Bridgend. At the traffic light system drive straight on past the Coity Castle pub and under the railway bridge. Carry straight on through the traffic lights. You will pass the bus station on the left and Tesco on the right. Carry on to the roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout up to the traffic lights. Turn left at the traffic lights. The river will be on your left and a large council building on your right. Go straight on at the traffic lights and under the bridge. You will pass Bridgend Recreation Centre on your left and the fire station on your right. After about 50 metres turn right into Sunnyside and then first left after the Magistrate’s Court. You will now see the main Sunnyside building in front of you. To get to Ty’r Ardd drive to the barrier ahead of you (to the left of the main building). Don’t worry that it says staff only. Press the button on the right near the barrier and the barrier will be raised. Drive straight on and then bear right around the back of Sunnyside building. Ty’r Ardd is the one storey brown brick building in the far corner of the car park. There is usually parking right outside, alternatively keep on driving around to the rear of Ty’r Ardd where there are additional parking spaces. From M4 junction 35 (Pencoed) Follow A473 signposted Bridgend. At the roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway take the third exit. Drive straight on at the traffic lights, you will see the Police Headquarters on your right and Tesco on your left. Carry straight on under the bridge. You will pass Bridgend College on your left, carry straight on at the lights by the college. At the box junction, go straight across onto the dual carriageway. Take the second turning left off the dual carriageway into Rice Street. The road bends sharply left, follow it round and take the first turning right just before the trees. From Pyle/Porthcawl/Kenfig Hill on A48 via Laleston Follow the main road through Laleston into Bridgend. As you approach Bridgend down the hill on Park Street take the right hand turning signposted Bridgend Recreation Centre and Magistrate’s Court. Take the second turning left into Sunnyside and then first left next to the Magistrate’s Court. You will now see the main Sunnyside building in front of you.
